ElioraArin
I have a quick question:In the past I have added content from an existing esp into a new one by simply building on the old esp. This time I need to copy content from an esp that I have been working on into a completely new one. If I give the added items the exact same Item ID will people using the old esp be able to safely update to the new one without issues in their game, or will differing reference numbers be a problem? The items in question are simply new foods & are not included in scripts. Thanks!
IsharaMeradin
Having different reference numbers will be a problem. The game will treat them as different items even if they have the same editor ID name. Can you not add the new content into the existing ESP rather than trying to transfer old content into a new ESP? ElioraArin
Thanks as always for your know how!The problem is basically that I am part way through making a simple food overhaul - but it does have a small amount of extra plants & significantly edited vanilla content that people using other food overhauls couldn't use.I recently decided that there is one feature of the mod that a few people may like - I wanted to begin a separate esp for upload that only includes that content, then possibly upload the completed overhaul on the same page at a later date. I was hoping to make it possible for people to upgrade from the limited version to the overhaul if they wished. I don't want to scrap the overhaul just to base it on the limited content, besides which I have already built it on another mod of mine that already includes some of the necessary features.I will just wait & upload the overhaul & limited version at the same time.
