xenxander
A monkey with down syndrome could do about 90% of my job (the other 10% actually require thinking) so during that time, which is about 98% of the time, I have almost nothing to do. And no, I didn't miscount - about 2% of the time is required to do about 10% of the work - this is what you get with a dead-end job; the job you take just to get some moeny together to then quit and return to college. I'm not a forum angel, but I enjoy viewing and rating the pictures as well as posting my thoughts, ideas, and such. Time wise, I am new - post wise, I am not. But educated am I, and proud (but not cocky). At least I finally did introduce myself for those who cared and for those who didn't, well you only wasted two minutes of your life at best. Malchik
I'm not sure you can waste time yourself very easily. Situations may make us bored or wishing we were doing something else but presumably the positives outweigh the negatives or we would do something about it. From what you post, you suffer boredom to obtain money to enable yourself to move on in a year or so. That is not wasting the time, it has a specific purpose which should succeed. The boredom is a downside of course but is there an alternative? Wasteage must involve misuse of resources and that is only possible if you have a choice. If there is no choice you are doing the best you can (at that point in your life) and so you are not actually wasting the time. In situations where we have a choice we do what we want to (this may involve us in activities designed to please others rather than ourselves because easing our conscience has a higher priority just then). In those cases we cannot be wasting the time because we are using it as we wish to use it. Others may imply that we are wasting time but it really isn't any of their business. Later you may feel you have wasted time but you cannot waste time retroactively. If you didn't know you were wasting it while you were using it, you weren't wasting it. So be positive and use the boring parts to plan out your blockbuster novel, your useful manual called '50 ways to survive being bored to death' or the strategy to become master of the universe. Good Luck. Maybe in a few years we'll see your name in lights.
