Ixflashpointxi
So I got skyrim for christmas for my new PC, and I was installing some mods today. The game seemed to work perfectly fine when using this mod loadout: iHud, SkyUI, TESV acceleration layer. But I added these few mods and suddenly it stops working. When I launch through steam, it says "Skyrim Launcher has stopped working" and when I launch it from SKSE loader through the NMM it says "The program can't start because d3dx9_43.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.". I tried defragging the files through steam and also verified the game chache and reinstalled and did the same again. Still doesn't work. Please help?
nix9862
i would suggest try to find if that dll file came with the game or was part of the skse ,if it was part of the skse than you may just need to reinstall that, if it was from the original game you may have to reinstall the whole thing

I don't think it would need the skse files if I was launching through steam and not using any mods that use skse. I'll try and reinstall skse though. nosisab
It's from the DirectX 9c, it should be downloaded directly from MS, may be not enough to have DirectX 10 & 11 which have incomplete support for version 9. Its all good now, Thanks for the help How did you find/fix the problem?I deleted the d3d9.dll file in my skyrim folder. It was from my FXAA mod I had installed. Deleting that file fixed it.
