Hi Welcome along! Quick thought but I'm sure other experts will fill you in with the details. First don't allow the game to run under Program Files as Windows 7 UAC can cause issues - load the game to a root C folder (mine is C:\Games|Oblivion. Secondly make sure you run the game as Administrator, and compatibility as XP Service Pack 2. You may have to play around with video settings - my creaky wreck won't handle HDR so try with that switched off. I've run mine (disk version) on Win 7 for ages - only for it to die in game saves (I'm waiting on some help here myself!). I'm sure others will have lots more to say! It's a good community. Good luck. Clive
bben46
I run Win7 x64 pro - no problems at all - NO compatibility mode needed. For steam installs, you can move steam out of the program files folder also. Hi again This is something I know nothing about - other than the fact I came across this yesterday while searching for a solution to my own problems. Take a look at: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-898645.html (Mr Darky 2:55pm) and also athttp://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/418992-the-freezing-and-nothing-works/ It seems Oblivion is picky over audio codecs. Hopefully these web links might help? Once again - the experts will be along with more solid answers I am sure but since I'd seen these I thought at least you should know about them. All the best, Clive

Zombok
It was crashing for me too during combat. Do you have the shivering isles installed? I installed that and that solved my problem.
