beretta666
Installed the nude female mod and it over wrote the texture folder and Skyrim wouldnt go past the intro. Removed the texture and meshes folder that were installed by the mod but I dont have the original texture folder. Don't even know if this is why the game stopped running but it's all i installed. nosisab
The original assets are inside the respective BSA files which no mod should touch, so you did not lost them. Besides, texture replacing mods should not give the reported issue, is something else causing it. To try and resolve the issue rename the SkyrimPrefs.ini and Skyrim.ini (located at Documents\My Games\Skyrim and let the game rebuild them. If is not enough you may need to reload from Steam whatever got corrupted. Posting the information about your system and installed mods would help a lot. beretta666
Thank you nosisab. I backed up my game then used Steam option delete local content. Then even tho i have to CD I still just downloaded it from Steam and everything worked. Thank you! I do agree with you now that i think about it. Something got corrupted along the way and I only have 23 hours int he game. Interesting. All the problems and crashes listed in these forums scare me. Amazing how many there are for various rigs. Modding does carry some risk so I thought I'd keep it simple with just some texture mods and a map mod. Ive got a quad core running a GTX570 video card. SB XM sound card....Im deaf so i dont pay much attention to the sound. 4 GB ram.
