a1las
Hi Guys, I really want to get the acceleration layer installed but whenever I try to launch the game from SKSE_loader.exe I get the following error message 'Lauching E:\Steam\steamapps\common\skyrim\TESV.exe failed (740). Can anyone please help with this? I'm certain the files are in the right folder, I did this by extracting the .rar to my downloads then copying the contents (6 and an src file I believe) to the correct folder. I'm new to installing mods so please be forgiving if I've made a stupid mistake. I've tried googling this as well but got no results. For every other mod I've used the nexus mod manager but this didnt seem to install this particular one correctly (I couldn't find SKSE_loader.exe in the right folder). Thanks in advance. Also, I knew it hadn't worked previously because I used the console command prompt in game like it says in the read me. The Bluejay
You evidently haven't tried reading the readme, since you put all the files in (AFAIK, you only need the .dlls and the .exe)So I'd recommend reading that through first, and making sure you've done everything it says. a1las
Thanks for the reply. I tried that, made no difference, surely it wouldn't anyway since the other 3 files were only text documents.
Reybarf
I had the same issue, but all I ended up having to do was run the loader as administrator and it worked fine. Hope that helps:)
a1las
Thank you so much! Don't know why I didn't even think of that because it's such a common fix and I do it all the time, I just assumed it was something else. Cheers! :)
