Looooooooong delay in scripted actions (script lag?!)

Hey guys.

Certain actions in Fallout 4 (like picking up things, openning doors, interacting with work benches etc) are instantanious, but other actions take a REAAAAALY long time to register. Actions like getting new missions (10 seconds delay), auto saving (5 seconds delay), hacking robots (20 seconds delay and even more. most of the time by the time the robot is hacked by me it already kills me or my companion already kills the robot) and calling or riding elevators (sometimes more than 5 minutes. yea, i said it - FIVE MINUTES AND MOAR)!

What could be the cost of such huge lags in certain actions registers and Is there a way to improve this!?

1. this game has about 6D 15H, so i'd say roughy 150 hours.
i have 150 mods.

Here is my load order:

My hardware is:
Win 10 64bit

8gb ram

i7 2.4ghz

R9 280 3gb vram

i should have mentioned that i had no lag what so ever up until around 10 to 20 hours of gameplay ago. it suddenly happened. so it's not my hardwares fault, IMO.

Hmm, I've never used quite a few of those mods so it's harder to know. I'm thinking it's some scripting gone bad if I were to guess. I would maybe start testing without some of the mods that make broad sweeping changes such as increased NPC spawns (enemy or otherwise), survival saving, quest mods and your, what, three weather related mods? Did I miss compatibility patches for those? Think about what script heavy mods you installed around the time the lag started and look at those mods and their possible incompatibilities with your older mods first.

the survival options mod and NPC spawns mod were there long long before the lag started, and what makes you think survival saving has anything to do with lots of scripts?

P.S. the weather mods ESP is there but they are all turned OFF in NMM.

It's not just "lots of scripts" that is an issue, it's any mod with potentially poorly written scripts and that can mean just one, though mods with lots of scripts have even more opportunities for scripting inefficiency. If your problem was just with loading screens/elevators I'd look at vram intensive mods such as weather and texture mods, but since it seems to be affecting lots of types of activators I'm leaning more towards scripts. But as you'll see with my last paragraph, scripts may not be the culprit after all, just a likely candidate.

So I looked up some mods on your list and Endless Warfare would be something to look at. I'm not sure what Minutemen entire map even is, I couldn't figure out what mod it was based on the name. Journey - realistic uses scripting, as does the Survival saving with holotapes mod.

When checking Lots more settlers and enemies to see if it uses scripting, I noticed posts that blame the mod for longer loading times, stuttering and FPS drops, probably due to the fact that it heavily adjusts NPC leveled lists and/or is vram intensive. The mod author apparently didn't use injection scripts to modify those NPC leveled lists either so this mod will be incompatible with any other mods you're using that add items like armor or weapons to NPCs. So your problems might be a result of mods conflicting with this one.

Please post the [General] and [Papyrus] sections from your Fallout4.ini file.

[General]
sLanguage=en
uGridsToLoad=5
uExterior Cell Buffer=36
bDisableAllGore=0
[Papyrus]
fPostLoadUpdateTimeMS=500.0
bEnableLogging=0
bEnableTrace=0
bLoadDebugInformation=0

does that help?

Your ini settings are fine. I suggest you turn on Papyrus logging and look at your logs after 10 mins of gameplay while experiencing the lag.

[Papyrus]
fPostLoadUpdateTimeMS=500.0
bEnableLogging=1
bEnableTrace=1
bLoadDebugInformation=1

Your log path will be: Documents\My Games\Fallout4\Logs\Script\Papyrus.0.log

Upload your log to a cloud server where we can have a look at it.

Cheers
