The To-Do List of Love

Hello, I don't know if I'm posting this on the right topic but here it goes:

At the age of 18 I started playing Fallout 1 and today I am playing Fallout 3. I have been blown away with the various story created by Brian Fargo and now Bethesda Studio. I was wondering if there would be ever a Fallout movie released because I think that this great game series does deserve one. If there could be one for Tomb Raider and one for Hitman then definitely Fallout must have one too. I just wonder which film company would take that burden en who would be part of the cast? I don't know if this site or the official bethesda site could make this dream of mine and many other Fallout fans come true. We would just love this to see happen!

Cheers....

A suggestion concerning the Top 100 page (if you haven't already seen it elsewhere): instead of displaying the uploader, display the author. There are several mods that have been uploaded by users other than the original author.

Second this. Sounds like a very good idea. Authors are more important than uploaders, and don't in my mind seem to get the proper respect.

Authors are more important than uploaders
I think you mean "more relevant"

No. In the context of this discussion I like "important" just fine. Creators are certainly more "important" than publishers or distributors. A creator could exist without the other, but not vice versa.

Well then, we will have to agree to disagree. Creators without a means to distribute or an audience is just as useful as a distributor without any content or an audience which is also true for an audience with no content or means of acquiring content.

I see the players, authors and distributors as equals which are all dependent upon each other like a basket weave.

Your view suggests creators who are always concerned with marketability. Most creators would be equally driven whether a market for their work existed or not. it is the nature of men to persue their own interests. It is the nature of ants to cooperate.

So here's a reference list of the planned updates and featured additions to TESNexus that might well make it onto the site within the next 50 years listed in no particular order. Feel free to provide constructive feedback.

Major -- new features and big updates

  • New file uploads, updates and favourite file updates sent via email to Premium Members if they wish
  • Site statistics page updated every 24 hours with interesting stats; file downloads in last day, week, month, year, all-time, registration stats, posts, topics, etc.
  • Ability to filter out files and images uploaded by specific members from search results

Minor -- small feature additions or updates

  • Search queries shown on results page
  • Alternative email validation system for people who cannot receive emails from this server due to their ISP blocking the emails indiscriminately
  • Inspect nested list BBCode issue

indeed, this subject made me think of an totally different list of to do XD

This has probably been brought up before, but what about a new catagory for Oblivion mods: "Nehrim Mods", and new file tags "Requires Nehrim" and a "Nehrim" attribute tag? This would make finding and keeping Nehrim mods organised a lot easier, and I think it's an important distinction to make.

Good luck with this list. I have been a member on the site since the golden days of Oblivion, but this is probably like my first actual post. All of the others are just work comments. :wallbash:

I love your site! <img src='http://thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thanks.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':thanks:' />
