ingame building structures

This is intended for use in the oblivion online

Hi everyone, i´ve been thinking about a mod wich enables the player to build new buildings within the game (not using CS). Not great buildings like castles, towers; but standard houses for living, standard shops, inns, or workshops to work in, totally owned by the player. They can be sold, or even donated. There will be a document cretifying the ownership. Beware if you get kicked out of your own land!

-Why?

As a multiplayer instance, this can provide a bunch of new features to hardcore rol players allowing them to work in oblivion, hire employees, money income. Just imagine. A modder can get his own shop to sell his special items.

-How is it supossed to work?

there will be new npc´s in the main cities; they are masons you can contract as companions to follow you. Once you get to a valid area: flat, not rocky, tree free; by opening an inventory style menu you can select the kind o building you want: simple house, mannor, shop, workshop, inn. After buying it you should be able to locate the building in the land to set an aproximate location, like u do when moving things out the inventory. After doing so, the mason will start working, and with certain amount of days your building will appear there and the worker will go back to where he came from. All building are prebuilt and cant be changed ingame. The custom part come with a complementary mod wich adds shops for buying and selling special furniture for this purposes.

Please dont look at this as something unreachable just because you dont like the idea, be realistic with your comments so i can see what can really be done with high level modding.

I love the idea you have, hope you're able to find a way to do it.

Someone figured out how to allow players pick to up cots (sleeping bags) & place them wherever you want so good luck to you.

I don't really know much about the abilities of scripts, but surely you could run a questline where the house would be the same, but depending on certain factors it would appear at a certain tima in a predetermined place. If you could manage to structure EVERYTHING in the quest; and create a script to match, then you would be gold. But again, I know nothing about the confinements of scripting. Just a suggestion.

Oh, and I heard about it but I don't know what it is...what the hell is Oblivion Online?
