Bleak falls barrow ctd

Alright SO

 

I'm having a crash at Bleak falls barrow, every single time I open that door I get punched in the dick and bam back to my boring, non dragon slaying laptop.

 

I checked by disabling all my mods and that fixed it, but I'm not playing this game without mods so I need to see which one of these little f*#@s is causing the problem. I'm using LOOT and everything so the load order should be gucci right?

Did you clean your masters like LOOT told you?

I'm having the same problem, at the same location.

 

It has to be a mod, but out of 117 mods, who can say which one it is? I use LOOT, and the load order is correct, and all of the mods are clean. I realize that you can avoid this problem using console commands, but it's a cheat, and I don't like them (besides which, you lose the 1-3 levels you gain, in the Barrow).

 

I have roughly the same mods as "noitrotxe1".

I have sorted all of my mods with LOOT, and cleaned them with SSEEdit. Since I'm only at Level 2 ... currently standing outside the doors to the first chamber ... would it do any good to start over? I haven't tried to play the game since the last update.

You can give it a try but I doubt it would do any good. Check your mods (this may take a while). If it was a bad or incomplete port of the original, it will cause you problems. I cannot remember anything special about Bleakfall's first level/zone that would cause this unless you are using a badly ported or corrupt texture mod (needing a re-install). You can also check to see if any of your mods have been updated.

I know that this is an old thread, but I solved the problem, using two methods:

 

1st- I bought a new computer!

 

2cd- I set the executable on "High" priority.

 

The new computer didn't completely solve it, but setting the executable to "High" did the job. It also solved some CTD problems in outside areas, like on the road from Riverwood to the Standing Stones, just out from Riverwood. Previously, I always crashed at the same spot. And if I DID make it past there, the two wolves just up the road always crashed it.
