AlphaWoIF
Hi im new to the gamebryo modding scene but have some ok rigging & modding experiance with A GTA4 syndicate wars project im also working on. Ive been following this tutorial & Using both the import & export settings as he suggested ,and it all goes well until the nilfskope steps ! http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/478312-tutorial-3ds-max-skinned-meshes-into-game/ In the nilfskope steps he mentions ( NiTriShape, find Property Link 1) which is fine as you can clearly see that in my original models node list, but the same data in my modded amulet is contained in (NiTriStrips)could this be the issue im having because when i try to save it get (link points to wrong block type) but i also seem to get that with pure untoutched models to just by loading them and saving them right after.http://i42.tinypic.com/35m1paf.png after all the steps in the tutorial all i get ingame is this red triangle with an ! mark, what am i doing wrong?? http://i43.tinypic.com/6s6uev.jpg Edited December 31, 2011 by AlphaWoIF

AlphaWoIF
Thanks for the tip i noticed i did infact have that ticked by mistake , but it was still the same issue in game so i decided to experiment as i remembered i tried to uvw map in max prior to export and all the time i was exporting it with the texture applied. So i selected all the polygon faces and set then to texture id1 & i did the same in material editor window ,which made the model untextured on export , but after following the all steps again it was working , i just need to do the spec map & normal maps as it was really bright in the dark , so now i now the proper process it should be full steam ahead thx:) Edited January 1, 2012 by AlphaWoIF
