Kalidian
It would be great if food and drink were more than just mini-potions. Just venturing ideas: - there's a "hunger" meter around where the stamina meter is... it depletes slowly over the course of a day...you'd be required to eat substantial meals once or twice daily - different foods regenerate the meter to varying amounts - ex. venison chops > a grilled leek. (more incentive to pay attention to all the food in the game, learn how to cook, hunt and forage for materials on your travels) - an empty hunger meter doesn't directly result in a deteriorating health bar, but: - stamina depletes faster when sprinting/attacking/blocking, etc. - all attacks do less damage - efficiency with bows deteriorates (kind of like in MGS when your stamina bar is empty and you can't aim straight) After fast travelling anywhere or sleeping, your first stop would likely be to hit the inn for food... or if you're a homeowner to mosey on downstairs to cook up some breakfast. Thoughts? Ideas? Refinements? Imo this would add a lot more depth/immersion to the game... as it is right now food is pretty much just for aesthetics. JanusForbeare
It's been brought up before and will be brought up again... don't worry, I'm sure there will be a hunger/sleep mod released within a week or so of the CS coming out.

On top of this, it'd be great if you could actually get drunk hahahah. Instead of one random quest determining whether or not you have gotten so UGLY that you pulled a Jason Statham in Craink in the middle of Riften. gyrofalcon
In the post Primary Needs I suggested: Remember the mod in Oblivion, where your stats got damage if you didn't eat or sleep. The same should apply in Skyrim. No eating, lowers your maximum health you can get back by potion/healing. (Ex: PC has 200 in health, doesn't eat and it drops 10points for every hour. => 5 hours after first "starving warning", the PC can heal to a max 150point. Rest 50 needs to be eaten, to get back to 200.)No sleeping, lowers your maximum stamina you can get back by potion/not using stamina. Same suggestion as for food penalty. Only difference is you need to sleep to get back to maximum level. So I hope someone will pick up this and make use of the ideas. There should be only text warnings ingame, and in extreme you can have blackouts and blurry vision (because of hard effort, due to combat, carry heavy load, etc)
