Thesblah
Processor: AMD Athlon II X4 650, 3.20 GHzGPU: ATI Radeon HD 6750RAM: 16 GB I should supposedly be able to reach around 40 FPS on Ultra from what was bench marked, but I don't come close to that with AA marked all the way down. I stare, from the road outside of Whiterun, at the hills and only get about 18-20 FPS according to FRAPS. I even used SkyBoost and it didn't affect me at all. I'm running the 12.1 ATI Preview driver. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Nirrtix
Having the same problem right now. Powerful system, low FPS. what the heck???? something about the game only allowing 2G to run or something From what I have read over and over is it has something to do with the 1.3 patch. What pisses me off is that since I bought the game on steam, I cannot revert to the old versions.

I do not know why they made it as a 32 bit client or at least did not make a 64 bit client. Fact of the matter is before I tried to play again today, the game ran decently well enough. Now it runs horribly. This is ridiculous considering how much Bethesda has made off this game.

Powerful system, low FPS. what the heck???? something about the game only allowing 2G to run or something The latest patch allows 64bit systems to use up to 4gb of ram without having to use a mod.Turn off shadows and your framerate will increase quite a lot. I always turn off shadows in games because they are framerate killers.

I have read several ways and forget which is the right way.

machuidel
Try doing the following:- Running skes_loader.exe or TESV.exe as administrator.- Turn on AA multisampling in Skyrim INI. Do not force AA using the driver (Instead of forcing it, you can instead enhance it). If that does not work.
