JDRogue Posted January 2, 2012 Share Posted January 2, 2012 Hello Nexus, Unfortunately while attempting to add mods to my FNV game I encountered a problem, asking assistance of my friend he approached my computer and proceeded to clear out my Data folder, along with my Mesh and Texture folders from my Data folder in Fallout: New Vegas, I am unsure of how to proceed in recovering these seeing as though I did not have any of my files backed up, I have tried re-installing the game multiple times to little avail and running out of options turned here. HadToRegister Posted January 2, 2012 Share Posted January 2, 2012 THe meshes and textures folder gets created by mods, as long as he didn't delete the BSA files you should be all set, you'll have to reinstall all of the mods you want though, because your friend went and deleted all of the meshes and textures the mods you use require. If he cleared out your entire data folder so that it's empty, you're going to have to reinstall , and keep your friend away from your computer ;) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Jeoshua Posted January 2, 2012 Share Posted January 2, 2012 (edited) Two things: Steam will rebuild the basic files that you need to run the game. Your mods are deleted and will have to be redownloaded entirely. However, it may be the case if he deleted them through Windows Explorer that they're still all just chilling out in your Recycle Bin. Check that before you reinstall. Also, never ask your friend for help in this fashion again.
