csrgamer
Is it possible? Will it be possible after CK comes out? I want to at least be able to fire arrows.
phaota
Now this is something Besthesda should have implemented from the start. It's so stupid that you can't fight while on horseback, especially with arrows. Someone definitely needs to make this mod.
Chuzzz
Great idea for a mod, Bethesda should have put it in the game from the start though. Would make the battle scenes in Skyrim like for example with the Stormcloaks for Whiterun or Solitude much more exciting.
Bismarck
A modder managed to add mounted combat to Oblivion. It was not as convenient and good-looking as the combat system from Mount&Blade, but it did work. Maybe that guy will remake his mod for Skyrim. SecretStash
+1 Horses are such a waste in this game. I never use them simply because I have to get off to fight every frostbite spider I come across and then my horse either runs away or gets itself killed by trying to attack an entire pack of ice wolves. I think there should be a right hand swing/cast, left hand swing/cast, and archery option (although aiming and steering may prove tricky) . Sprinting on horseback while swinging should include a damage multiplier. Also It'd be cool if there were some combat trained horses (soldier's, DB's, etc.) that could automatically trample (when sprinting), and hind-kick / rear-up & hoof (any opponents that get too close). Yeah, sprinting and attacking could knock opponents down. Also you mentioned it being difficult to fire an arrow while galloping, well if you have the perk that makes it go into slow motion it would make it much easier, also make the perk more necessary. horrorview
Hell, it'd be nice just to be able to swat a bear or one of the myriad "lone wolf" attackers who bog down your follower (and, speaking of followers, they could use a mount, themselves). I'm sick of having to hop off of my horse just to play whack-a-mole with a a trio of wolves so Lydia doesn't end up two miles behind me! :wallbash:
RealBigSwede
I totaly agree that we should at lease shoot arrow from the horseback. I too have sop using them they don't follow you and getting killed all the freaking time. I'm 5 for 5 so as it is now they are useless.
csrgamer
Plus the slow animation speed of getting on/off your horse makes it even worse.
BCbrad
Yes, I agree. I'd like to see my follower on a horse as well.
