outlawzgosu
When I set the FOV above the default value and go to the first person view, my hands are too close together. How can I make it so that my hands are further apart while having the FOV higher then the default. Here's what I mean:http://i.imgur.com/278L1.jpg FOV set to 90 and hands cover the middle of the screen.
calyps
Good luck with that. The short answer is, you will have to mod the model that it uses for first person. You might ask someone who has does a model mod already. Most of the modders are really nice and some will take requests but you're better off asking in one of their mod comment sections than doing it through the Mod Requests forum (which I think was put there just to let us *censored* ourselves because very few modders ever reply to threads there). edit - you can tell the admins are british because *censored* is censored but jerkoff is not. nosisab
The FOV should be related with the aspect ratio. You can try 85 instead 90 for a 16/10 ratio. This will not change the hands position will change a bit, but it was "wrong" from start using a FOV for a 4/3 ratio. Edit: trying to be clear, finding the "correct" FOV for your used resolution aspect ratio is finding the angle that keep the proportion you'd see in the vanilla FOV when observed from a monitor with the aspect ratio it was designed, in the specific case, a TV with 4/3 aspect ratio. Things are changing by now and most newer TV (and then monitors) follow the 16/9 standard but the 4/3 is still the majority.
