Hexxagone
I thought Oblivion made that impossible?
MichaelsRoleplaying
I don't think Sanguine actually moved himself from Oblivion to Mundus and fully entered this realm. Instead he just projected some of his influence into creating an avatar here. Sam Guevenne never seemed to have any real powers, beyond persuading you to drink some potent magical alcohol. This seems a bit different from what Mehrunes Dagon was trying in Oblivion, where he wanted to bring his full Daedric Prince form into reality with all its powers in order to invade. It was that and the oblivion gates that Martin Septim seemed to prevent, rather than completely walling the Daedra off from Mundus. All of the Daedric Princes seem capable of some interaction with Mundus despite the protection of the dragon-fires of Akatosh, or Martin Septim's self-sacrifice and ascendancy. This seemed more like the Aspect of Hirsine that manifests in Ill met by Moonlight. Just one tiny fragment of Sanguine and not the actual Daedric Prince in his entirety. Hexxagone
When he revealed himself at the party, were you in his Daedric realm? He looked like a normal Dremora, unless that was also just his projection.
cdcooley
Yes, you are almost certainly in another realm at the party. And you spend some time in the mind of a mad emperor for Sheogorath's quest. The Daedric Princes are free to entice individuals to interact with them. Sheogorath does it regularly and the Shivering Isles expansion for Oblivion even allows the player to question him about it. His response is that no compact was broken by him placing a portal in the middle of the bay which can transport people to his realm because it is their choice whether to enter or not. In fact when you get to the entry room you even get a chance to change your mind and go back.
Hexxagone
Nice, sucks that Bethesda got lazy and made him look just like a Dremora. Would be cool if a modder made him a unique outfit that the player receives at the end of the quest. Sheagorath and Nocturnal get a unique model but Sanguine doesn't?
