Lotus69
I installed the QD Inventory Mod, the Sky UI Mod and of course the SKSE. Now when I'm aiming the bow (in crouch or out) the arrow will fire as soon as I move. If I need to track an enemy this if very annoying and problematic. I uninstalled the Mods but that hasn't helped.Anyone have any suggestions?
nosisab
are you using some other mod to alter hotkeys? Whatever the cause seems related with the mouse click being forced released. A few magic changing mods could do it too, those which automatize the load time/shoot. It may be based on autohotkey program and as such might be independent of skyrim itself and must be disabled or changed differently of normal mods. Lotus69
No, those were the first Mods I've installed at all. Sucks cause it makes the bow almost useless. I've googled the bug but so far haven't found anyone with a similar issue.
nosisab
that's the problem, I can't imagine any other reason than something is intercepting your mouse and making it pulse. May be something not related with skyrim at all even, is enough the mouse is having that behavior at OS level. Try right clicking the desktop, the balloon should appear only after you actually release the button. Edit, do the same for the normal click, in this case click a shortcut, it should activate only after actually releasing the button. Lotus69
Ya, I thought of that too, also bad batteries etc. in the wireless. Nada. I can aim and zoom in but if I'm aiming and I attempt to move the arrow will fire :(There goes my stealth etc. I'll try a few other things like unequipping my bow and using another. Level up my bow skills. Stand on my head :)Really odd that I seem to be the first to encounter this. Is there a way to contact the modders? Maybe see if they've seen this? nosisab
that's the first time I see it reported, there is not much to do if it is a localized problem which is happening only to you (not than I can be sure of it). It does not seen something related with the game, at least not with vanilla game and I can't see it as something changed at ini level, is something causing your mouse to release the button after certain time by itself, or so is how it seems. You can even try to find out if that is the case in other circumstances too, like power charging a melee weapon, it should not trigger until you release the button, if it does the hypothesis is confirmed, if don't... well is indeed something related with your bow or ... something else. Lotus69
Thanks for helping but I did find something. I removed the SKSE files from my Skyrim folder and my bow now works. Going to slowly reinstall the mods and see which one triggers it.Guessing with my luck it won't happen again :) Edit:I removed all Mods totally, deleted files from directory and added them back in 1 at a time similar to original install. So far so good. I have my SKSE and SkyUI mods working and my bow back to normal. Thanks for talking me through this, the only thing I can think of if there's something in those UI mods that modifies the mouse buttons at all? nosisab
Good to see the issue was addressed although I don't have the smallest idea about what caused it, I believe must have been a series of factors instead an isolated one... does not matter, important is things are working now since the reported issue was indeed game breaking, Good luck, have fun :)
missmoocow
I was having this problem too. I figured out that, for me, I was playing with a usb mouse, but while I was playing my laptop's touchpad was also getting input and my hand would accidentally click the touchpad while I was aiming with the usb mouse. This also made my game shakier. Try disabling your touchpad if you're playing on a laptop, and just using your mouse. It worked for me!
kingkane7
hey got the same error, when I hold down on mouse button 1, & the bow releases the arrow on its own. I never not once did I release the button. & it still dose it. I've replaced batteries in my mouse, & still dose it in skyrim. Its something new, though. Sometimes I even have to Mash on the mouse Button Hard Hard Hard I mean so Hard so it wont release the arrow to soon, in game. At times this error or bug, subsides, but it always comes back. I've noticed that it usually happens when I use the left click to zoom in & slow time. Then it starts happening all the time. See I have all the archery perks in skyrim, the Zoom, & Slow time one. Is there a way to fix this error/Bug? Oh, & this was happening when I had no mods installed. Edited July 28, 2016 by kingkane7
