LtSurge
((answered)) I have an idea for a mod, but I am not very technically-minded, so I wonder if I can offer people money in order to help me. Does this go against any terms of use for Nexus Mods? Or can I do this? I would rather be able to offer this incentive, even if it isn't much, to attract people to any Request I feel like making. To my mind, it shouldn't be against the rules or any existing laws (and if it is, that's stupid), but I think it's important to ask before I continue. Thank you Edited December 27, 2016 by LtSurge

LtSurge
Okay, then how do I incentivize people to help me? I can't do it, myself, and I would rather have skilled people helping me. I would also want it done within a reasonable timeframe. Is this not a dumb rule? Or am I the only one who sees it? To be clear, I wouldn't be paying for the Mod. I would be paying for technical help. A service. It just so happens that we're making a Mod. I could easily call it "technical services". "Programming services". Edited December 27, 2016 by LtSurge
DoctorKaizeld
Okay, then how do I incentivize people to help me? I can't do it, myself, and I would rather have skilled people helping me.you ask on the request forum. explain in clear detail, do not beg, do not demand, be polite, be respectful, be patient. I would also want it done within a reasonable timeframe.to bad. they can take as long as they want. dont ask people to 'be fast' if someone is willing to make your mod be happy about it and wait for them to finish. it takes time to get stuff done and everyone has a different skill level and amount of available time. Is this not a dumb rule? Or am I the only one who sees it?everyone knows about it and the opinion on it is mixed based on the reaction to the paid modding thing. Beth though are the ones that said no so that is why it illegal. To be clear, I wouldn't be paying for the Mod. I would be paying for technical help. A service. It just so happens that we're making a Mod. I could easily call it "technical services". "Programming services". yeah no. still not acceptable. That's pretty damn lame if those are my only options. It's not like I wouldn't be respectful or patient if I paid them, but I would think paying someone would be good leverage, incentive for them to get the job done, and done reasonably quicker than if they weren't getting anything out of it. Well, then this is a failing on the part of Bethesda's. I will adhere the rules, begrudgingly. Thanks for informing me, btw Edited December 27, 2016 by LtSurge
