CasperTheLich
i was trying to reinstall the SE version of the ambriel & recorder mods (as i was having trouble getting the two of them to talk to each other), nmm decided to go and freeze in the middle of uninstalling ambriel. NMM stopped responding, then froze, froze bad. i had to kill nmm in task-manager. now all my SE mod data is toast, somehow including my backups too, all of it, minus my load order (that's still there). i am very, very hair-pulling-ly angry as now everything is useless till i reinstall everything by hand, and that will take days... time i can't really waste. grrr
KiShuya
Hey Invisible Man, I think we've all been there at some point. Currently my NMM won't register Profiles for my Mod Loadouts, everytime I swap Profiles it keep mys Mods active and just adds in the mods from the other profile until every mod is active at once and I've got to manually remove them. What's the point in having a set of Profiles if they aren't working properly. I've tried reinstalling everything from NMM to the Games and Mods. Nothing fixes it, all we can hope for is a new version. Sorry to jump on the rant bandwagon, but it is infuriating. You're not the only one. P4YN. CasperTheLich
i bit the bullet. just zeroed-out NMM-SE, deleted the game folder, and am currently validating SE. it's a long road to recovery... lol (i'm laughing on the inside, yeah... really)
goranpaa
I do not hate NMM it's ok. But sometimes it seems to "forget" one or two installed mods when starting a new game. That is a bit irritating. And if I had the opportunity to have a well working MO for SSE. I would definite had gone down that road instead. Mavkiel
Yeah I get the feeling, but considering it's a free utility, hard to complain to much. As of late its been in a habit of throwing an error when installing a mod, then try and install the same mod again and it installs fine. *shrugs* Can't wait to see the new program they are working on. Moksha8088
Modding is a rough and tumble activity, but it is always nice to have the Swiss Army Knife of video game playing, the NMM. Makes playing easier and keeps us from messing the game up big time.
Mavkiel
200 mods? Not to shabby considering its special edition, did you know the merge utility now supports SE? Might want to trim that down just to make things manageable.
CasperTheLich
i'm running something like 208 mods if you include non-esp texture replacers (or like 196 if you don't). which i seem to overlook most of the time. and it's quite stable, i typically have like 1 crash for around 80 hours of gameplay or there abouts (it's hard to say exactly). so, i don't think i'll be messing with anything... if it ain't broke -- don't **** with it. lol ---editi think it's actually less than 1 & 80, as i have like 400 hours logged in SE, and i've only had like 3 crashes. Novocaine69
hmmm.. thats sad, sorry for your loss, my only problem with current NMM version is that it doesnt tell me about mod updates, and shows that its latest version even though its not, its really annoying, some mods it detects new version but 90% of the time says "3.0/3.0" and theres a 3.1 for example.. anyways, its not like we have much choice for SE do we? will have to wait and see what the new NMM version is like
