ElfyPers0n
I've been fooling around with this mesh for a few days now, trying to get it to work with the GECK without avail. Could anyone provide some pointers as to what I may be doing wrong? It's probably more than one thing.(The textures and scaling aren't final; I'm just making sure it works first}
JoKelly
what exactly happens to the model in GECK. just the quick look I had of your niF, keep in mind I am no expert, your Nif was missing a BSXflag and a few other things like BHK rigid body. ElfyPers0n
Well, yes. That's not the issue though. Like I said, I'm not done the mesh, so there's no collision yet. I'm just testing so far. My issue is that trying to load it into the GECK simply results in the error marker.
JoKelly
what export settings did you use? I've had things show up fine in NIFscope and had GECK pitch a fit over them.
ElfyPers0n
I used the nif scripts alpha build for Blender 2.7+, FO3 preset for export and I copy+pasted the nif version info from a vanilla nif. I know that there's more to it; the scripts just don't allow much flexibility in this version. I'm just trying to figure out what kind of things I can see and fix through Nifskope before I go on an adventure trying to get an older version of Blender to work. M48A5
As stated on the blender download page, you have to use Blendef 2.49 to export the data as a .nif file. You can use newer versions for production, but you must use 2.49 for export as a .nif. Edited December 30, 2016 by M48A5

ElfyPers0n
I used meshes\architecture\barracks\barracks01.nif as a reference.
