Eupraxia
I have noticed that several of the npc's especially the guards wields torches that won't cast light. Sometimes there is light emitted from the torch and it reacts with everything except the ground which is dark. Don't know if this is a bug or a limit to the game engine but it's really annoying and immersion breaking.
LeddBate
There are lighting several mods that can help with this. Realistic Lighting Overhaul SSE for example. There are others you can find with a simple search. I recommend you try several and see which one appeals to you more. One nice thing about RLO is that you actually have a good excuse for using a torch. Nice from an immersion point-of-view.
Eupraxia
Tried both RLO and ELFX and have the same problem. :(
matrix2507
Id love to know about this two. i only just fixed my ENB and now the torches dont work. Mind you turning the ENB off dosent seem to change anything.I do have a lantern mod tho, and when i wear and use it, it casts light normally
Eupraxia
It's a limit set by the game engine which won't allow more than 4 lights that cast shadow per one mesh. Source:https://beta-community.bethesda.net/topic/15283/request-that-light-limits-on-meshes-be-improved-for-sse So if Bethesda don't choose to fix this we just have to live with it.
