Adipose
Is there any practical or realistic way for a player to be evil in Skyrim?
LeddBate
Well, it's fairly easy to be a jerk by choosing all the "jerk" responses in dialogue trees. But that's not really evil. You're just being an a**. People might say "Daedric quests, dude!" But over half of those don't really require you to be evil. (Although that one for Boethiah is pretty evil.) Joining the Dark Brotherhood is also pretty evil. I can't go into details since this isn't the Spoilers sub-forum. But, hey! they're assassins -so it's not hard to figure out why. With certain mods (or out-right console commands) you could "ally" yourself with the dragons. Thus they won't attack you, but will attack towns, villages and other locations. You could even join in and help them! Now THAT's pretty evil. Instead of Skyrim's greatest hope, you could be it's greatest scourge. Literally a protege of Alduin. When faced with the choice of which side to choose in the Civil War, pick "My Side" and travel around Skyrim looking for the hidden encampments for both the Imperials and the Stormcloaks. Then murder them all. There's a mod out there that even insures that once you kill all the soldiers and burn down their tents, they stay dead and don't respawn. Use a follower mod like AFT to gather a group around you, then go sack a village or two. Or even a major town. You can turn off "essential" status on NPCs to make sure they stay dead. Beware though, this might break your game. And will most certainly lead to broken/un-startable quests. For more fun, make yourself and all your followers werewolves. Or even Vampires! If you don't like the thought of followers, just wander into town, transform into a werewolf, maim a citizen or two at random, then flee before the city guard catches you. This will result in a huge bounty on you in that area, but that's the price you pay when you're a depraved, psychopathic lycanthrope*. To make sure you don't de-populate Skyrim with your evil campiagn, be sure to add a few "population" mods to the game. That will give you plenty of targets to slaughter in your rampages without having to turn off "essential" status on important NPCs. Best of all, you'll still accrue bounties without breaking your game (or quests.) *(Or, you know, many members of the Companions. Oooh, burrrrnn!)
