freddycashmercury
Student. Yeah. My future job hopefully lies in law. I am going to specialize in E-Commerce law and ethics. So, I will get a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business and Management systems, and then go get my law degree. Pros: I get to do what I love most- debate. It will be very rewarding, even if I don't include the average starting salary of around 53 thousand dollars a year. Cons: Very stressful. Long nights, tons of research, and I may have to put my personal ethics on hold in order to best serve my clients. Should be exciting. Even if I somehow don't get hired as a lawyer, the undergraduate degree can stand on it's own. Plus, the university I plan to attend (Missouri University of Science and Technology) has a 96% job placement rate for graduates.

Carah
I custom frame art work. The perks: I get to play with a compound miter saw, cut and build frames, getting paid by doing what I do best; being creative. Cons: pulling staples, splinters, or glass out of my hand, or going to the hospital, because of a laceration. I don't expect you guys to understand, but not having pretty nails. You better be proud, dammit, and do it to the best of your ability..... Those of you that are in college, it is work. Been there, done that, partied out.I remember one really tough class I had my first year, the professor started out, "Most of you are here, trying to cram 4 years of education into 6 or 7 years, and if you work hard and you're lucky, you'll make it." For the past 13 years, I've managed one of 10 specialized intranets for the government (US).And if you guys ever find out more than that, I get to kill you.... Downside: No holidays off. (I work M-F, regardless)Upside: I'm single. Oh, wait, that's personal life. At work, I'm the boss. Hey, come to think of it, since I'm single, I'm the boss at home. Kresselack
Currently unemployed at the moment. Even though I can stay home longer, it is not that good. I want to recieve an income to become a helpful memeber of the economy. Eventually I will get a part time job to purchase blacksmith equipment and eventually open up my own shop. I want to own a company like Cold Steel. They make functional swords and the alike.
allanm
OK, I work in Telecommunications billing. That means I create and maintain tariffs for all major UK mobile, fixed line and non-geographic networks. Good point - Boredom? What is Boredome? Bad point - the Invoice run  it generates a whole raft of problems that have to be solved before the next invoice run. Extra specially good point - I don't (usually) have to deal with the end user, so I'm spared the "why did that call cost more than this call" questions - it's more "why did the network do that and how much credit can I get out of them for it?". The hours are bad - whatever it takes to get the invoices out on time, so home working and weekends are not unusual. BUT, they subsidised my new monster pooter, so I can't complain. :P
