Actually, it was Ysgramor and The Five Hundred Companions that decimated the Snow Elves. The elves had it coming too, they went on numerous raids killing the Nedes that had traveled from Atmora to Skyrim. Ysgramor and the Nedes seeked nothing but peace and knowledge in the beginning.

They didn't deserve what their race ended up becoming though. The Companions were brutal and the Dwemer were extremely cruel sadly.

Well really the Flamer didnt much deserve the treatment they got from the Nords, it was stated in "The Seven Fights of The Aldudagga" that Dagon actually tricked the Falmer into attacking Sarthaal.

And wasn't their supposed to be 1 Dwemer still alive somewhere in Tamriel (in a tower or something?) The theory is, if 1 is still alive, maybe their are more? And if 1 Dwemer is alive them maybe 1 Falmer? Or maybe more ?...?...

Yagrum searched for ages to find more Dwemer, and Vivec said he could not sense them on ANY plane of existence, and Vivec has CHIM.

The Dwemer are gone.

my obsession with jumping off high places has led me to make an (admittedly stupid) leap off the edge of Throat of the World. I got up as high as I could on the mountain - grabbed my notched pickax, thank you very much - then got a running start and jumped..................................

.................and then proceeded to watch my character roll down the entire mountain. And I do mean the ENTIRE mountain. I finally stopped rolling when I hit that barrow outside the little town at the foot of the 7,000 steps. Go figure.

Where is Bard's Leap at? I must make this jump!

with apologies to Eddie Murphy:

"Oh Stendar help me Imma fallin' down the stairs!" (thumpa thumpa thud)

:D

these are great!

Okay, I don't think I really have that many memorable ones but here's one.

I was playing as my Khajiit character (sort of a sneaky archer guy with barely any magic) and I had just gotten to Riften to do some things. I walked into the Inn they have there and planned to level up my sneak skill by auto-walking behind the girl at the counter while in sneak mode (after which I'd probably go have a sandwitch or something while my char levels up).

Anyway, I was going to rent a bed at the inn to boost my experience gain when I apparently picked up something from the counter. Naturally, the girl at the inn said "Stop theif!" and started attacking me with a dagger.

Thing is, I had just stopped from leveling up my characters Light Armor skill a few minutes ago and her dagger was doing practically no damage. So the whole inn was treated to this Khajiit standing there bemused while the innkeeper yells at me and slashes innefectively at me with a dagger. Of course, this was training my Light Armor some more (with some restoration spells as well) so I kind of kept it up. Basically I let her slash at me, ocasionally healed, and chatted with the other patrons of the inn like there wasn't anything going on. I started some quests, convinced that one girl to leave the stable boy alone, and bought some mead all while this lady was slashing at me.

Then a few of the other people working at the inn got into the fight and each was about as effective as she was... namely, I could sit around getting poked by them while I waited for my Magika to recharge for healing. I took this opportunity to explore the inn, unlocked the doors to their rooms, read some books. Then walked out of the inn to find a guard and pay the 14 septim fine for accidentally picking up something at an inn.

All this time, I'm walking around the inn and later the town with like three people jabbing at me with daggers. People did notice my plight but kind of backed away is if the situation was too awekward for them.

Now that I think about it, I wonder if I could have left the city and had them follow me all across Skyrim.
