What's your favorite (original) Jarl?

Since I've never played a Khajit, I'm curious, how does this a affect Khajiti PC?

Balgruuf would have been my choice, until I realized he sided with the Imperials when it came down to decision time. Oh well, I honor his choice but it just wasn't the right one imo, so I can't choose him. Instead I picked the Jarl of solitude.

Don't get me wrong, me likey Elisif, but doesn't it seem to you guys she just lets Falk and Tullius make all the decisions for her? Also, letting someone like Erikur poison the minds of the other Thanes with no repercussions is never a good move.

 

Heck if she'd been a stronger woman perhaps the Moot would've supported her more! But anyway, ty for voting in the poll:)

Ulfric has a good voice but i dont like his character, so that eliminates him as a favourite jarl

most of the time spent with a jarl is prolly balgruff, so i will go with him as my fav. I think it comes to the time u spend with a jarl, and u get to know the jarl better.

Elisif is my 2nd option, since her voice is dam fair and she looks kinda cute. I wonder if i could kill ulfric, take over the high king throne and marry her...

jarl laila of riften is a righteous jarl, but she is too dumb to fall for maven's tricks. She thinks Maven is a person who can take down the thief guild, but she doesnt know she is talking to the most influential person of the thief guild...

that jarl of dawnstar is also fairly dumb but i dont know him much

the jarl of winterhold is very ignorant. Make him spend time with the college for 2 years and we will see about that.

Jarl of falkreath and markarth, i dont noe them much, so i cant say much about them.

Ulfric (yeah, badass enough). Then Idgrod. I don't like Elisif at all, to me she needs a backbone. Allows the Imperials and the Thalmor to boss around in her land. But the one I totally hate is Skald, my assassin character is already considering some ways to kill him (I really wish he could). ;)

OT: as other stated above it's between Balgruuf and Ulfric here. Balgruuf because you get to talk to him more often than to others, and Ulfric because he's got so much character :)

To be fair to Elisif, remember she is quite young and has been thrust into a position she neither wanted nor was prepared for. I did not like her much at first for many of the reasons already stated, she appears weak and needy. But as I did more solitude quests she grew on me and I think given time and continued good guidance she would make a fine Jarl and potential Queen.

 

All that said I voted for Balgruf, I just really like his character and I like Whiterun as well so that helps. My second would have to be either Elisif or the guy who replaces Ulfric who's name escapes me, because at least he tries to fix some of the Inequality that runs rampant in Windhelm for anyone other then a nord. My two cents anyway :).
