xcafe
So I'm working on a texture mod to add some pretty eyes to the game, and it's going pretty well, except for one thing. For some reason when I try and load up a DDS file in photoshop (using the nvidia dds plugin) it gets rid of the eyebrow part of the file and replaces it with solid black. Anyone know why? Attached: The DDS file in windows media player, and then again in photoshop.
FrankFamily
Can you upload a screenshot of the channels tab? Btw this plugin is better than nvidia's imo: https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/intel-texture-works-plugin
xcafe
Well I switched to the plugin you suggested, but I'm still getting the problem  Although weirdly now it LOADS the eyebrows just fine, it just won't export them right. Here's a pic with the channels tab open, like you wanted. All those repeating images are 8 layers named mipmaps 0-7, which seems to be how this new plugin wants me to do it, so idk why it isn't working. EDIT: When I go into preview mode on the plugin it shows the eyelashes under alpha, but A. they're color-inverted, and B. this doesn't show up when I actually save it. Di0nysys
Tried loading without mipmaps? If this still happens, try using Paint.net, it natively supports dds.
FrankFamily
When you import it do you get a promt saying something about transparency or alpha channel? If so, tell it to have transparency as alpha channel, it needs to be separated in order to be saved afterwards. And also load it without mipmaps as Di0nysys suggested."Corlor inverted" is fine in the alpha channel, white means visible, black transparent. xcafe
Well that's what I was doing originally, the nvidia one does that automatically, but then when I tried to actually use the texture it didnt turn into eyelashes, the part where the eyelashes would be was solid black. And I'll try using paint.net and get back to you.
