genolune
So basically, I want to edit the mesh of the Boston Airport to get rid of the broken walls. a) What's the easiest way of doing that (besides 3DS Max & the nif plugin)? b) Will it need new textures or will the game know to omit that part of the mesh that is gone? Ethreon
Looking at the meshes, only one piece seems to be fully destroyed - the now exterior waiting room, where the workshop area is located. You'd kinda need to edit it unless you find elements to fit the holes remaining after you remove that whole part.
genolune
Yeah the waiting room. That's what I'll use to refer to it. How would I go about chopping off the chucks of walls in the waiting room? The end goal being a flat open waiting room in the middle and front (the back by the doors and upstairs I'm not too worried about.
Ethreon
Well unless you got some other pieces you can use to replace the whole thing to look the way you want, probably editing in some 3d program would be the best way. I could do that if you'd provide me with specifics of what you want.
genolune
Basically, I want it to look like a flat tongue, minus a little overhang in the back. If you don't mind, write up the steps and programs you use so I can try it out. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v724/genolune/Improved%20Boston%20Airport.jpg In the back, just use the brown vertical stripes as where to chop off. Ethreon
There you go. I didn't test it so you should and tell me if it works as intended. Edited January 7, 2017 by Ethreon
