And yeah, it probably is cultural, though I don't know much about Finnish culture, so I could be totally wrong. Still, the Nexus is meant to be culturally neutral, and thus that kind of attitude isn't justifiable. :/

Neither do you. I can tell you from first hand sources (discussing with a variety of Finnish locals) they are less interested in human interaction up to and including straight out hostile. Not all are like this, but it's a generic feel you get and they will be the first ones to admit it.

I have a good friend who's Finnish, when we first met I was very curious about Finland and one of the first things she told me is Finns are quite cold (no pun intended) people. Saying "please" or "thank you" is not the norm, they see such things as needless and silly, they also dislike casually chatting with strangers.

I don't know Elianora so I have no idea if she's Finnish or just rude, I'm just talking about what I've been told about Finnish people. She does make great work though and deserves respect like any other human being.

I have seen some of the negs she's dished, certainly there is reason for the TUDE she gets.

 

I think though that if you're gonna DL some Epic creations... some stuff that took dozens, if not hundreds of hrs of effort, AND you look at how she has been a colab' in a variety of other projects almost ALL of which enjoy their fair share of success, well then I'm thinking you can find a way to give her the benefit of the doubt when someone Chaps her ass and she lays the b&@*$ hand down.

I'm pretty new to Nexus, so I'm sorry if I this won't be taken well, but seeing what LenaMarie is spouting off as facts about finnish people made me want to comment.

Now, as a finn myself, I can tell you that you are pretty far off with your assumptions about the finnish culture. Furthermore, listing google and hearsay as proof is not the way to go.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Also after briefly looking through these comments (and noting one or two prolific commenters) Elianora and other mod makers here have my full sympathy when it comes to certain members of this community. Entitled is putting it mildly, openly hostile would be more accurate. I had no idea they were dealing with people like this, it's honestly really sad that they have to.
