Jones813
I used to be able to build the small guard posts on top of the projector screen but when I try to build them it's like there's no flooring. Oddly enough, I can build turrets up there but I can't build the guard posts. I thought maybe it was Scrap Everything so I disabled it but that wasn't the culprit. Anyone know what might be causing this? I have the same issue with building anything inside the castle walls. I can build out in the castle courtyard but can't build anything inside the castle walls. JimmyRJump
If you're using guard posts from a mod, then that can happen (I guess you mean the objects you want to place sink through the floor?). The same goes for beds that come from mods, they also sometimes sink through floors. Try Place Everywhere. It needs F4SE, though... Tutorial to be found here. Jones813
No I was trying to place the vanilla guard posts but now that you mention that, maybe it is one of the settlement mods that is causing it. Thanks.
damanding
It sounds like a mod disabled precombined meshes/previs for those settlements. Do you have mods that touch those specific locations?

Do you have mods that touch those specific locations?I've a mod that must be doing that - Spring Cleaning. Without the mod it's all good, I can build indoors, on top of roofs. With the mod enabled everything sinks through the floor, except on top of existing rugs. I don't dare move/scrap the rugs. Do you know how I could re-enable what it disabled? I don't think you can*, I think you have to switch to Scrap Everything. Which is technically better and is still supported. :D *Without figuring out how they disabled precombined/previs overall and undoing that. I've not poked around in the guts of the mod, but it seems I've heard they did it through some means other than an ini file change. StarMystyk
Oh. I tried Scrap Everything once, but didn't like it, which is why I went back to Spring Cleaning, knowing full well it was old and abandoned :)I'm more used to working with FO4Edit, than the CK, but couldn't really see anything as I didn't know what I should be looking for. Oh well. It's annoying, the sinking objects, but I'll just keep putting up with it
