need help

Ok heres the problem, some time there is a weird buzzing noise that only lasts a few seconds, some times it happens when one of the nps is speaking, sometimes not. It happens at different volumes too, like when i was talking to the lizard lady(forgot her name), about her mage friend being trapped in his dream, the noise is super loud and blocks out some of her words. More annoying than anything else but i am concerned this could be a precurser to a big problem. Has anyone encountered this problem before and can someone help me fix it please? thank you for any help you can give me.

This is a new one on me. Have you altered the games sound files in any way, such as adding custom music? Have you noticed audio abnormalities when doing anything else besides playing Oblivion? Is your audio cable securely connected to your PC?

And you are sure it is not your speakers/headphones, volume settings or sound settings on the computer? Does the buzzing sound like an ingame sound?

On one game of Ob, I used to be afflicted by bells whenever I was within site of a city, town, chapel, etc. Tried backing off the sound adaptor acceleration rate which cured the problem, but lowered, vastly, the general sound quality of the game. Turned out that the game was seriously banjaxed. Un/reinstalled, then new game, was the only cure, finally.

I've seen cell phones cause buzzing interference. If that's not it, does it always occur for a specific line of dialogue?

I'm not sure I'll play some again and try to figure it all out, I do remember my cell phone being on while playing last night so maybe it was that.

I'm starting to think it is my headphones, since I never heard the sound when just using my speakers. No I didn't add music to the game, haven't clicked on any files in the game folder and no, I haven't experience the noise while doing anything else. I downloaded the update patch from the official site earlier and although the noise did occure it did so only twice when it ocurred more often before the update. Oh I did uninstall the entire game and then reinstalled it but obviosely it did not work. I was wondering what kind of headphones would you guy reccomend I replace my current one with. Thanx for all of your help I greatly appreciate it all.
