JanusForbeare
Here's the thing. I've played the game through twice, logged at least a few hundred hours, and cleared out a sizable number of the vanilla dungeons (though nowhere close to all of them). I've played through the Companions and Hircine questlines, and, obviously, encountered werewolves in these instances. However, I have yet to run across any lycanthropes roaming the countryside or lairing in some cave. Are all the vanilla werewolves restricted to questlines and scripted events, or are there more roaming free out there that I just haven't encountered yet? Iv000
In my 200+ hours of gameplay I have not encountered a single non-scripted werewolf in the world, besides myself. You can find werewolves in closed cages in some of the Silver Hand's bases, but they are hostile if you free them, unless you are in beast form. Sadly, we will have to wait for mods to add werewolves to the world spawns.
JanusForbeare
Well, shazbot. Thanks for the quick reply, anyhow. Man, I cannot wait until we can finally fix this game.
thesapien
Nor can I figure out a way to get a companion Companion to change into a werewolf when we're in battle. Am I missing something obvious or is this one of those wait for a mod features? Even if my character wolfs out with Alea as a follower, or even when Alea herself is down to a knee, she's yet to turn into a werewolf around me. How do I know that was really her during my ceremony? faifh
I decided for my char, he would be mage/thief/archer type and thus ignored the companions completely. I never knew that lycanthropy exists in the game. Seems to be a companion quests and their ohterwise locked-out-dungeons exclusive.

Yeah, I guess you wouldn't because, well, they otherwise never show, not like vampires everywhere. I knew before playing because of the story of why they are even there; "wannabe staffs for werewolves" I call them because I can't relate to the stiff fanboys who requested them nor the staff who obliged. I avoided the pack until I realized Alea the Huntress was a member... I mean, my little redhead Breton just short of took to Alea. I don't know why. Now, she's turns into red wolf at night (using a red fur mod).
thesapien
http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5887 Trying it now. Me too. So this mod was just uploaded, like, today? Is someone that totally awesome that they saw this thread and took a few minutes to include the feature, just like that? I feel so lame.
