Gryff99
So I checked a box to let NMM turn my plugins.txt off read-only on accident, and now I can't change that. At least not that I can find. Either way, whenever I launch it disables some of my mods. It turns off my Achievement Unlocker, a Brotherhood of Steel military cap, a Brotherhood of Steel Vertiberd reskin, a higher settlement budget mod, and some more stuff. It's really pissing me off, because I need these mods.
JimmyRJump
Plug-ins file (located in X:\Users\YourName\AppData\Local\Fallout4) should never be read only, else the plug-ins list can't be adapted by NMM when you delete/add mods. If the file is set to read only, untick the box manually on the file itself (right-click file; properties; at the bottom of the tab next to attributes). NMM hasn't got a function to set the plug-ins file to read only. I guess you hit the Tools icon, top of screen in NMM and then hit Reset Archive Invalidation, which means you need to re-add the lines bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 sResourceDataDirsFinal= At the bottom of the list under [Archive] in the Fallout4.ini file in Documents/My Games/Fallout4... Alright, let me try that. Okay, I did it, and it's still turning off my mods. If I'm launching through F4SE do I need to add it to that too? JimmyRJump
Forgot to add that, after having changed your Falllout4.ini file, that one needs to be set to Read Only, otherwise there's a chance the game will reset the file to its original state. You can also try to add the [Archive]bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 sResourceDataDirsFinal= to the Fallout4Custom.ini, sitting right underneath the regular Fallout4.ini in Documents/My Games/Fallout4. The Custom ini has priority over the regular ini. The Custom.ini doesn't need to be set to read only. I myself am using Bilago'sConfiguration Tool to start the game through the F4SE launcher. Besides that, the tool has a plethora of possible settings and tweaks to the game and ini files which can all be performed (and saved) in an agreeable and easy to understand interface. Gryff99
It still isn't working, I'm not sure if it's at my end on this point. I both of the script lines at the bottom of archive in my Fallout4 and Fallout4Custom files and made them read only, and it still removes these ones.My mods before launching with F4SE:https://gyazo.com/6b6a9073bc8e3c60e0f89aac263674fdhttps://gyazo.com/c4d060905da74a842c06bf304a812a53 After:https://gyazo.com/f1dcf0b9b6b9c0f14b1f62c8dbf5aef3https://gyazo.com/83aedef086a7291ecff494df58f5b840
