JanusForbeare
Illegal? No, I don't believe so. However, it is in violation of the Microsoft and Sony EULAs which you agree to when you buy your Xbox/PS3. Therefore, those companies have the right to deny you service if you attempt to modify your console or any games. It should also be noted that discussion of console modding is not allowed on the Nexus (beyond explaining the policy, as I'm doing now). You can find more details at http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/369524-console-modding-is-not-supported-here/.

Ghogiel
what are you going to do with 24gig of ram?! that's actually rediculous, did you tell him you were rendering high resolution 3d animation and video processing as a professional or something? if not call that guy back now and tell him he's an idiot. If you don't actually modify the box itself, and just end up moving files around, is completely legal. Edited January 13, 2012 by Ghogiel
seven11
yeah all i would want is to add stuff. not change my avatar or nothing like that Improve Vampires WOO But then again i may run the risk of overheating it duuu to some mods maybe being to powerful. a guy at the store said the video card of an xbox may not be good enough to run certain mods. well i did kind of tell him thats what i would be welling to pay But what kind of system would you suggest would be good to run skyrim on the computer i have not does not have dual core processors. and maybe a difficulty imporvement if there is one. you can tell i don't do a lot of posting as everything is kind of spread around lol :) well maybe i well just spend some $$ for a new computer then. Lutine
Making any modifications besides moving/adding savegame files aren't allowed. As for a good computer, a Dual core or better is a must. Around 4GB of RAM is fine, and a 5770 should be fairly cheap and run Skyrim well if you can find a cheap motherboard.

Rennn
For best results, buy a prebuilt from a budget gaming company. I've had a great experience with CyberPower, and I got my pc for $500. I had to replace the video card, since I knew when I bought it that it was a weak HD 5440, and I got a new PSU just because I wanted extra space to upgrade. All in all, the PC cost me about $700, and now I can max most modern games at smooth framerates when I optimize them. Another good feature of this is that when it goes obsolete, I can easily replace the video card again and upgrade to 8GB of RAM. My cpu and psu won't be bottlenecking anything for years, and that's something to look for. You don't want to spend as little as possible now and then have to buy a new pc in a couple years. My build is below in my sig, for reference. I have heard some people have had terrible experiences with CyberPower though, so be very careful about the return policy and things like that. Korodic
Yeah i called a computer guy and asked him to give me a Quoto on a good one. i think he said these was the parts he suggested 1TB hard drive 24GB of Ram I suppose its the 24GB of ram thats making it cost so much?? your "computer guy" is a computer idiot. If you would like help buying a system ask us, the nexus, who aren't trying to molest your wallet for personal gain and/or have plenty of experience in the electronic dept. :P EDIT: By the way, if you would like to mod your xbox 360 game save, you may. Look into "Modio" and perhaps a tutorial on youtube. I used to have a tutorial on it but it became outdated over time. Unlike modifying the actual game, you DO own your game saves to some degree. You are allowed to modify them, as this does not in any way make you alter your game console. I'm certain there is either (A) A god save already made or (B) a tool for you to mod your own game save very easily. If not, give it some time. As always I encourage you to become a PC user, it has many benefits... you can even still use your xbox controller! Almost every new game allows me to play on my xbox 360 Afterglow controller :) Edited January 13, 2012 by Skibblets
