endomatic
I've been using Wrye bash the last few days, learning about mods and such and I'm certain I've installed way too many. No crashes experienced at all. However, when I leave the sewer at the end of training, I appear in a deep moat of water. It's supposedly the dock district, but I can see no NPCs. I haven't done any direct texture modding that I know of. Some custom armors, some tattoo textures for the actor. I tried FCOM, so perhaps that might be it. I may have forgotten to update something and a major conflict occurred. Anyone else perhaps experience this? My main focus now is: What are some good mods to use that bring depth, but also wouldn't conflict too badly with some custom armor skins (weapons too)? Chesto
Seems like you're in too much depth already. Ha Ha. You know... the moat ... and ... the.... I think the max mods active is 250, or something extreme like that. As to your present problem... afraid I can not help you. Though I expect someone will be along who can. That's how it works around here. First they send in the idiot. Then the experts follow.
endomatic
Very nicely done (the joke). I only had about 20 mods or so active. I used that exnem underwear for the actor plus downloaded some related armor (there seems to be a wide arrayment available).I had FCOM going, plus exnems underwear thing, and some Jet black armor addons (for exnems model) that looked really great. That was it really. Would the conflict between items cause me to spawn in the water? The graphics for the entire city were messed up. There was clipping everywhere, and no NPCs. I fell to my death (fell through the world) many times. I drowned many times as well. I really like the model he uses for the women. Not skinny boards. very woman like. The nudity isn't necessary, but the body shape is. I like the armor people have made for it. Is there a way to use FCOM and still incorporate these items? Would I load them first and then let FCOM load over top? If they add some armor and such to a vendor in IC (which is what I believe the Jetblack addon does) and spawns a few NPCs outside of a couple of towns (rogue armor from exnem requires me to kill 2 NPCs wearing the armor in question in order to get it), would that conflict with FCOM in a substantial way? In my basic understanding, I am under the impression that as long as the addons don't directly conflict over certain items (2 addons modding 1 item), I should be fine. Right? Vagrant0
It might be FCOM if you screwed up the installation. But it's more likely some other mod which alters either the Imperial City, or the land around the city. You might want to try disabling one mod at a time, creating a new game each time, (you can use console to move you out of the sewers) to see if disabling that one mod fixes the promlem. If not, exit the game, enable what you disabled, and disbale the next one... and repeat. Hopefully this will pinpoint which mod it is. Without you mentioning which specific mods you have running, there really isn't any other advice.
endomatic
I've done a fresh install of oblivion twice while I've been experimenting and such. Would OMOD or Wrye Bash be the better program to use?
