Dubnoman
I am looking to download a Skyrim performance enhancer. I have found out about the TESV Acceleration Layer, and then I found a link to something called Skyrim Boost on SkyrimNexus. Which accelorator should I choose? Which one is more stable/causes less bugs and glitches? Which one gives a better performance boost? I'll probably choose the one that adds less buginess. Does either operate with virtually no added glitches and bugs? Here are my specs, if this info will be helpful: Phenom II X4 955 Black EditionRadeon HD 5750 1 GB4 GB 1600 RAMWindows 7 64-bit I have the latest Skyrim updates via Steam. I have the latest ATI drivers. Also, with the latest Skyrim updates via Steam, does that give me the Skyrim update that utilizes 4 GB RAM?

luxwing0go
Honestly, the best way to discover which one works best is to try them both out yourself. Some people get better performance with Acceleration Layer, others with Boost. Personally, I use Boost. I don't have much difference between the two, Boost adds maybe 3 or 4 frames at most. What I do notice, though, is that when I use Layer, the frames can skip anywhere from...let's say 35-40 while running in Whiterun. With Boost, the frames only vary from 38-40, so the difference is mainly jitter reduction for me. Other people report a gain of almost +15 FPS with SkyBoost. You just have to test them and see what works. I have yet to hear of any bugs/crashes pertaining to either mod. On a side note, SkyBoost needs Script Dragon (which can, in fact, be run alongside SKSE). There is a nice addon for Script Dragon that exchanges Dragon Souls for Perks. If you decide to use SkyBoost, that mod is also worth looking into, since you'll have the necessary things for it anyway, hehe. Oh, and don't run TESVAL and SkyBoost at the same time. It...doesn't work...

Instead of making a new thread, can I ask, what are Script Dragon and SKSE? Are they recommended to get? Are they mods that can be used on the Nexus Skyrim Mod Manager?
