Dust 514 and Eve online

Hey eve players, have you been effected by Dust514 yet online, like being in orbit and while being blasted from a ground laser.. I'm not sure how it would effect you guys the pc players, versus the ps3 Dust 514 wich is free to play online. Noting that psn has a HUUUGE player base compared to pc.

 

I'm curiuos has anyone encountered any difference in the eve universe with the new game coming out this year, beta tests and so on???.

 

As soon as dust 514 comes out I'm getting a Eve account to see how it looks from both angles :thumbsup:

If they put this on PC instead of the PS3 they would have had another customer. As I do love the concepts they have, as it reminds me of my days in Planetside, except the conquences of my actions affect a larger battlefield.

I'm hoping they would bring it to pc after the release of the ps3 version. Crosses fingers.

 

It'll be cool to have both though, one on the go and one for pc.:thumbsup:

I'm kind of irked about Dust 514... it was originally supposed to have a 360 version coming out as well. I would have dropped for a CE if there was one if they had kept it non-exclusive...

I was initially most un-excited about Dust- but it appears that it may be an interesting addition to the Eve universe. I have a PS3 as well- and I like the idea of picking up a controller and jumping into a deathmatch. Also with training similar to Eve, joining early is likely to pay in the long term. There appear to be similarities between the 2 games e.g. vehicles and fitting.

 

If (space) sovereignty in Eve is based on planet control, Dust battles will take on great significance.

 

The game goes beta in April. At the moment, thus, there is no interaction between the 2 games.

 

I do not think CCP intend to release Dust on the PC any time in the near future.

 

The interaction, it appears, is likely to be:

1. Dust players will be able to accept contracts from Eve players/corps/alliances

2. Dust corps will be able to join Eve alliances

3. Text, voice and possibly some video communication between the games

4. Orbital strikes on ground from space

5. Strikes on targets in space from the ground

Okay so its like occupy Eve universe but on planets instead, let the chaos commence lol. :biggrin:

Sounds fun but extremely annoyed about PS3 Exclusive.

 

Mainly because I sold my PS3 a few weeks before they announced the PS3 Exclusiveness.

 

Might buy a PS3 depending on how good the game is, but feel extremely betrayed by CCP not including a PC version.

 

Hopefully they will surprise us.

Lots of Conference stuff about Dust 514, looks like they are taking it quite seriously, Probably more serious then any game ever made, at least i haven't scene this much Conference footage in any game before :teehee:

 

Probably do to Eve connectivity

 

Looks like the fan base is quite big to, witch is a good start for a fps mmo
