Where to find .BSA Files?

Hi,

I'm new to the modding scene, and I was interested in making a few hair meshes for a mod I'm working on. When I tried to open the female head meshes for reference, I noticed blender wasn't finding them. 'Ok,' I thought, 'I'll try using the BSA thingy I saw on FOMM". Still nothing. Finally, after a fit of rage I decided to download fallout 3 archive to find them. Nothing. Zilch. Nada. I've been looking in the folllowing directory for the meshes: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\fallout 3\Data\Meshes\characters I've also skimmed through the stickied topics at the top of this sub forum and none of them helped me, so sorry if this is a repost. Any help would be appreciated!

From your desk top, left click your start button. In the search window, type *.bsa. Left click the magnifying glass. Read the results. If nothing comes up, go to advance search to search your hard drive for *.bsa.

Thanks for the reply, but that didn't help. Any other suggestions?

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\fallout 3\Data\Meshes\characters

1 - bsa files are located within data -- not sub folders

2 - Program Files (x86) - you are infected with microsoft's gift to modding named UAC

solution is to move your steam install outside of that cursed directory.
