Modding scene not dead?

To me f4 just looks like a mish-mash of features on top of the fallout background. I assume voiced stuff and 4 dialogue wheel was required by a bunch of people and they thought it would sell a lot.

another thing I notice is how they make the game console wise and later port it to PC, which leaves us with a half finished game, but not enough tools and knowledge to modify the rest as PC would need.

I'm still left scratching my head wondering exactly which 'players' Bethesda allegedly listened to after FO3 and NV in regards to how to improve Fallout?

The console ones towards which this was geared and which loved the action and base building.

Suppose that the number of dialogue choices was limited by the number of buttons on consoles. I've read that video games are made with consoles in mind and PC play is an afterthought. I am thankful someone came up with that full dialogue interface idea to spare us from that console paraphrase diamond interface.

Yeah that was particularly irksome in Mass Effect and the latter Dragon Age titles, I didn't need that in Fallout. While it's kinda obvious that they used the 4-option system for consoles, I'd reckon too they were trying to copy some of what was in the previously mentioned games. There seemed to be a whole rash of idea lifting from other games going on with developers around the time Fallout 4 was in the oven, namely everyone going after some aspect of Dark Souls. It wouldn't surprise me if the dialogue and affinity systems for 4 were based off ME/DA.

Again, that's not how dialogue should work. Real life or game, I need to know what I'm saying. No, we're not a minority, even the damn dev admitted it was a bad choice. Surprise should come from the world, the quests, events etc., not from now knowing wtf I'm going to spit out when I choose a dialogue option I think it's correct.
