shadow1513
i really don't think that we can be entirely be destroyed without destroying alot of wildlife or at least not all at once.there are too many people that are isolated.if a disease i to kill us all off it would probably kill off the primeates as well the're 98% human anyways, the virus/disease would have to be highly transmissible and have a long incubation period with no visible symtoms up until they die. jaosals42
If humans were to die off, many other animals and species would die off as well. There are many endangered and near-extinct species of animals within human jurisdiction and without us supplying them with the necessary food, they would possibly die of starvation or in the wild since it's quite possible most of them were born in man-made habitats and never exposed to the wild, thus they won't know what it's like out in the wild due to a lack of experience. Plus, many domestic animals such as dogs, cats, livestock, etc. would meet a similar fate, thus wiping much of them out as well. If we die out, they'd die out as well due to their dependency on us. This would greatly affect the global food chain and possibly cause certain species to overpopulate and others to die out thus causing chaos in global nature. Eventually, the oversized populations would die out as well since they would lack sufficient food to hunt for. Plants would also follow suit since they are also kept in check by animals who eat them. Certain ones would overgrow and drain the nutrients out of the ground for other plants, and without animals to recylce the nutrients through the carbon and nitrogen cycles, the remaining plants would also die out with no more nutrients to live off of. Then, oxygen, since it no longer has anything producing it, would eventually escape the planet's atmosphere and drift into space, thus putting the planet back at point one at the beginning of it's lifecycle. Note however, that this is a worse case scenario. It could be possible that certain plants and animals would evolve to live without other certain animals and plants that were killed off by the death of humans. DontWorryBeHappy
A World without humans is a World Without Perfection... IEA world without humans is merely a world without the notion of perfection. A world without any notions actually.
Marked188
Has anyone heard of the city (somewhere) that was abandoned (for some reason) and now its covered in plantlife and animals? As you can see I'm a little sketchy on the details. You may be reffering to Chernobyl. Despite what you would expect wildlife there has thrived in the absence of man. Yeah it is Chernobyl , as some people know it has been abounded due to the 1986 disaster. The aftermath of it does provide a sneak peak at a world without Humanity. Interesting enough for a Zone with hot spots of Radiation nature has re-claimed much of Prypiat and other Villages in the surrounding area. That and Wildlife is also thriving , don't know why but somehow the radioactivity isn't killing off the wildlife. Saw a Documentary on animal planet about it. philosopher101
Personally i would hve to say that f the world was to be devoid of humans, why would we care? Could we care? Alas that is a question that i don't know the answer too.

UncleRoe
it's physically impossible.. even in that movie "planet of the apes"..they somehow managed to get a couple humans on it.. just can't happen.. we are nosy and plan to get our bussiness into yours..lol nah seriously..my answer has basically been posted already.. nature would take over..naturally lol.. there are parts of the world where this can be proven easily.. places abandoned only 12 years ago that can barely be recognized thanks to the plant life and wind land changes.. in a matter of days unmaintained power plants would cease to power.. and earth would grow dark. Any house pets you have locked away in your homes are to domesticated to survive on their own and will most likely die. Outside pets will scavenge for food but naturally will become prey to other alreeady wild animals. Creatures you would normally find in marsh waste and forests will spread out into the vacant towns and cities and mark new territory. some areas such as alaskan towns and the entire las vegas city will be drowned. vegas by sand, alaska by snow. lastly the entire monty python cast will emerge from the depths of the earth and make one really funny sketch about the end of mankind that a good %10 of us would have been offended by anyways..
