TheDrunkenMeditator
For some reason, any time I try to load a save where I'm anywhere over level 1, Skyrim crashes mid-load. I can't make any meaningful progress and I've tried to test each individual mod and i still haven't found the issue.Processor- Intel i5-6400 @ 2.70GHz QuadcoreRAM- 8GBVideo Card- Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070Using all DLC, and both NMM and LOOT.Located in the default Steam Skyrim directory.Launching through SKSE 0 0 Skyrim.esm 1 1 Update.esm 2 2 Dawnguard.esm 3 3 HearthFires.esm 4 4 Dragonborn.esm 5 5 Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch.esp 6 6 Falskaar.esm 7 7 ApachiiHair.esm 8 8 SkyMoMod.esm 9 9 MolagBalsInferno.esm 10 a JSwords.esm 11 b Simplycirclets.esm 12 c WM Flora Fixes.esp 13 d GeneralStores.esm 14 e SkyUI.esp 15 f Animated Dragon Wings.esp 16 10 Wintermyst - LeddBate
My first impulse is that you're most likely missing a patch for one or more mods. The mod reaches out for the master file the patch provides and when it doesn't find it, boom, ctd. However, let's try some basic troubleshooting. Make sure your SKSE is up-to-date. Clean mods with TES5Edit. Note: Some mods have intentional dirty edits and "cleaning" them will actually break the mod. Read each mod's description carefully before cleaning. No luck? Let's move on to more advanced troubleshooting. Note: The following is advice from Darstyler. Please give him a kudo if anything here works for you. *********************************************************************************Here is a list of things you may do to stabilize your game :/// Useful informations : Dangerous mods list.CTDs troubleshooting page on Reddit very usefull informations concerning CTDs...Verify gamecache./// Load order / mods conflicts : Use L.O.O.T once and click on the "sort plugins buttons".Create a wryebash patch including leveled lists.Create a merged patch with Tesedit excluding leveled lists/// Settings / memory :Have you installed the skse patch ? >> memory blocks log.Backup your ini files and delete the files. Skyrim.ini / SkyrimCustom.ini / SkyrimPrefs.ini found in C:\Users\Utilisateur\Documents\My Games\Skyrim then use your vanilla launcher to autodetect and use best settings for your computer./// Cleaning and correcting potential bugs :Clean your master files to eliminate potential problems.: Gopher's videos cleaning your masterfiles on the Nexus Tesedit page.Start Tes5edit, simply untick everything, (right-click/select none) and add only a tick to the esm/esp you want to check + update.esm, Tesedit knows what to do and will load all the dependencies automatically.- Begin with loading only Skyrim + update, ITM / UDR + save ctrl +s and close.- Then load Skyrim + update + Dawnguard, ITM / UDR + ctrl +s and close.- Then load Skyrim + update + Hearthfire, ITM / UDR + ctrl +s and close.- Then load Skyrim + update + Dragonborn, ITM / UDR + ctrl +s and close. The method above can be used to clean mods. If I'm correct LOOT should tell you which plugin you should clean. You may load all your mods with Tes5edit and use the (right-click in the left pane) apply filter to show conflict losers. Wait till Tes5edit has finished. Caution : don't try to modify anything while using this filter, it's not intended for.In the left pane, Expand the subsections and examine conflicts. Once an entry is expanded to the bottom and selected, the right pane shows which mods modify the entry. The last one on the right is the last loaded in your load order and the conflict winner.Expand the following subsections, depending on where the problems occur. Cells for CTDs inside buildings, grottos, etc... and worldspace for exterior. The goal is to target mods that edit the same places and conflict. Open the bloc note and write those mods.Once done, close Tes5edit and open each mod with Tesedit, one by one and use the UDR cleaning procedure (Gopher's videos cleaning your masterfiles on the Nexus Tesedit page) to ensure all the deleted references will be transformed in disabled references = no CTDs from this point. If you suspect a mod in particular, using the conflict looser / winner method above, you can decide to change its load order or uninstall it./// Save game :Don't uninstall mods at mid-game, there are no clean save in Skyrim but using save script cleaner can help removing orphan scripts./// Meshes healer :Read here, this is potentially a cause of CTD that you can resolve by following the mod procedure on this page. snelss0
Leddbate is giving you a generalized post on how to properly care for your Skyrim. It contains a wealth of information, that if you follow, will likely increase the stability of your game. He thinks primarily that there is a missing patch for one of your mods. Many mods have patches they use to help with compatibility for other mods. Sometimes these are listed on the main page of the mod under the compatibility section, or sometimes it is under the Required section. However, there are times when this isn't the case and it isn't so obvious if you don't read. Expanded Towns and Cities for example, there are a ton of patches on his forum page, but if you didn't carefully read his main page that they were there, you would never know. Perhaps this has happened with one or more of your mods. What I suggest you do, is navigate to the mod page for each of your mods. Make sure on that mod page, you read the required, recommended, compatibility, install sections, as well as briefly look at the Posts and Forums tabs to see if there are any mods that aren't compatible or that there isn't anything extra you need to do with your mods. I'll take a once over your mods and see if I see any irregularities.
snelss0
1. My first main concern is your Legacy of the Dragonborn. This mod spiders into just about every aspect of the game. It is a great mod, but it also can conflict with many things. Read very carefully each parcel of information on the mod page. Make sure you have installed the LotDB update file as is needed, and any patches. Make sure you view the compatibility page and don't have any mods that aren't compatible installed.2. JK's Skyrim is not compatible with NPC overhauling mods. These may include undeath, immersive creatures, and some other of your mods that mess with NPCs. There are youtube videos on how to use TES5edit to find conflicts. I suggest you watch those and see if there is anything conflicting between your worldspaces and those mods.3. Make sure that your breezehome mod is compatible with JK's Skyrim if you have the whiterun edits from that mod.4. I'm not sure what Master's of Death is, as I don't use it, but make sure it's compatible with Undeath.5. I would suggest getting and using Ragdolls and Force, as well as XP32 Maximum Skeleton extended, particularly if using Immersive Creatures. Some mods do not mention that they were created with this skeleton in mind and can cause Crashes. It's always just better to have it installed. XPMSE should go at the bottom of your load order.6. I suggest getting and using Alternate Start LAL, it not only can let you have the vanilla intro, but can also help your scripts run at starting sequence. This is beneficial not only for stability, but if you need to use the mod for testing such as when you have an issue like you are having, it's good to not repeatably have to sit through the intro over and over.If none of these changes help you on a new game and your problem persists, I suggest performing a clean install as something may have become corrupted. Here is how to do that: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/906390-cleaning-skyrim-for-fresh-install/

Sorry about that TheDrukenMediator. Still, copy that info I gave you from Darstyler and save it as a text file. You can explore the links at your leisure later. It's good advice for advanced troubleshooting and proactively protecting your game against issues. <snip>6. This is beneficial not only for stability, but if you need to use the mod for testing such as when you have an issue like you are having, it's good to not repeatably have to sit through the intro over and over. THIS! Not only is LAL good for troubleshooting, If you have a large (starting) mod list, you're likely to CTD multiple times during the Helgen intro. This is primarily due to it being a heavily scripted sequence. All those mods trying to fire up (especially the script heavy ones) can overload your engine. When using LAL, if you WANT the vanilla intro (so that you create your character first and don't get that jarring interruption to do it during the execution scene) then don't enable your entire mod list. Install, yes. But leave the majority of the mods un-checked in the plug-in tab. Once you complete "Unbound", save, then check all the remaining mods. Load in and give the game several minutes to fire up any and all scripts that the mods introduce. You'll often get notices as it happens (Sounds of Skyrim for example.)
