BurryTheMad
So I'm doing a Warhammer 40,000 themed play through and want ED-E to come along for the fun. Problem is he doesn't really fit in with my mighty band of Imperial Fists. Mainly because the total conversion mod made him a Tau Drone. Can anyone help? BurryTheMad
It was pointed out to me I should explain what a servo skull is. A servo skull is a little helper bot built form the skull of a human or sometimes canine, typically with the lower jaw absent and small hover motor in the bottom rear. Its tools and weapons very from skull to skull but in this case would likely be a small laser, sensor & manipulator. devinpatterson
Because of the way ED-E is setup (his/her/it's skeleton) I can actually do this for you (I believe). It won't look exactly the same, but it will look like a skull with some tech gear/elements. I'll look into it for you and see what I hack together. BurryTheMad
Thank you. I just threw an example out there. Servo skulls are a varied as the people they're made from so no worries.

OK first initial work, vid; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xk7v9E9W00&feature=youtu.be Ran it through all animations and it looks fairly well behaved. I'll probably throw some other models together.
BurryTheMad
Sir, you've blown my mind. Just bleach the skull a bit and etch some roman numerals on the side with optional big red optic in one eye socket and it'll look like something out of official artwork. Sure, no problem to lighten the skull, etc. Let me know what you want to use as the optic (you can save me some legwork). I'll probably finish up this model first but make a few variants. spetacular. Thank you That looks truly terrifying  Warhammer really does have some amazing lore
BurryTheMad
That looks truly terrifying :ohmy:FUN FACT: The skull used to make a servo skull is often from a respected member of the community who passes away. It symbolically lets them continue supporting their community long after death. Sure, no problem to lighten the skull, etc. Let me know what you want to use as the optic (you can save me some legwork). I'll probably finish up this model first but make a few variants. A laser sight from a pistol with only the beam aperture visible or the rear optic from a gauss rifle.
