Heriteks. Thats what they call illegal or outcast techpriests. IE the dudes who make servo skulls. Slap some crude bionics on the fiends and throw a few servo skulls and a servitor or two and boom Heritek cult.

Hmmm, sounds like a plan to me. I'v always liked the merging of science and magic (or at least the appearance of such). I was reading the wasteland wiki and the Guardians (of the old order) very much had that vibe (techno priests). I never played the game, but it seemed like a interesting faction.

I'm guessing the Heriteks would be tech hoarders? What other attributes that would translate well to the fallout universe to define their lore and character?

An idea for that encounter

 

A pillar of dead skulls with only that skull alive but stuck in the middle.

 

Muwahahahahaha

So your thinking a special encounter with something akin to a skull totem pole? Soudns like something SMs would make. Then what, have the servo skull fly out of the skull totem and attack or did yuo have something else in mind?

WEll welcome back. The real question we need to ask is how much do we want to make a warhammer 40k themed overhaul. I know I can do dialog and some minor G.E.C.K. stuff.

As amazing as that would be, it's way beyond my time budget. Right now I'm struggling to even find time for small requests, and I don't see that changing anytime int he near future.

But what I hope to do is to make some assets that have a WH40K theme or feeling to them. Something that can be enjoyed in the fallout universe as a homage to 40k and possibly could be of benefit to a future 40k conversion as assets.

I understand the time restraints. As for assets there are a couple armor & weapon mods out there need cleaning up. That might be a place to start.

If you list the ones your interested I can take a look at them, but I'm essentially at the mercy of the author's permission on whether I can improve and release them.

Just from skimming the description it's pretty clear that these are not open permissions, and I can't do anything with them. Example;

I think a much better solution would be to create assets that haven't been done and can be used in a TC or as stand alone homages to 40K in a fallout universe. AKA what we did with the servo skull. Maybe there are some other things you'd like implemented and if we're lucky my feeble modding skills might be up to the task.
