It was discovered that it had suffered great losses dealing with yet another dark force to be found somewhere in that strangely distorted place; the discovery was made simply because the AzaShadow told them so, seeming pleased that they would now have to deal with this other terrible threat.

The newly revealed domechamber was massive and had eight big gateways but most were damaged and not functioning. One active gateway led to the world of the great Azagods' onslaught but the metafolk did not intend to send an expedition to there.

The metafolk, along with the OPRD, were soon investigating the chamber while the metafolk strongly secured it against both intrusions from that world and from through the gateways.

MFFF 39.1[87]

While Sonya01A01 slept in a medibed, with the metabab and metacat sleeping with her, the Mazagame continued and the AzaShadow's attack on TechVault617 had ceased. The Metacube continued to expand-evolve, expanding in a transdimensional fashion. Metafolk found that about two thirds of the Metacube was not only inaccessible to them but that they knew nothing of what was going on there, what was there. Odd stories circulated through the newly forming-growing whispernets of a Mazacube, a Mazecube, a Metagod, Mazagods, Mazalords and much else.

Thirteen metaslayers, along with five metaserkers, reached the domechamber where the gate was that opened to the world that the hivevaca had come from. They observed quietly as biometalic-biomechanical creatures, hybrids and carbon based lifeforms continued to come through as refugees. The newcomers brought with them what resources that they could.

A metafolk taskforce arrived with basic resources, giving them over free to the hivaca in charge who was ShhsTashiNu herself. Impressed, but also determined to show their independent strength, the hivevaca were soon putting together a return package of valuable biotech resources.

ShhsTashiNu spoke with Ivana88J11 as they stood observing the barely controlled activity. She was a good deal taller than the metahuman but sensed that the other was quite dangerous as a metaslayer. “The Metaleadership wishes for an alliance with the hivevaca. That is a good, practical, survival oriented idea. Even with the AzaShadow returned to Torga, as we call our old home world, there are many challenges, even threats, facing both of our peoples. I would wish to speak with this OPRD that you have mentioned. In terms of hivaca I am a scholar and a scientist specialising not just in biotech but attempting to enrich our people's knowledge in other ways. That is physics, higher mathematics, geography, anatomy and much else.”

Ivana88J11: “I am a metaslayer but I well understand the need, desire, to expand one's knowledge. You are much like our Sonya01A01 in many ways and there is an odd sense of you being very like her.”

ShhsTashiNu felt some startlement at the other's words. “We are linked together in a very special fashion. There are thirteen of us or so I have dreamed.”

The humavica changed subjects, finding herself being oddly uncomfortable with that one. “The Azagods have to be dealt with on that other world. There is always the possibility that the Azagods will try to invade that world. There also the unknown threat that the AzaShadow had spoken of.

It floated through the gateway, a second transparent cube being identical appearing to others of its kind. Yet ShhsTashiNu somehow knew it was meant for her to meet it and at once she went forth to do so. Odd dreams had warned her of what would happen but had assured her it there was no threat in it happening. Upon meeting it she fell into a deep sleep like condition and was caught by her nameless male assistant.

Helen11P11 was arising as a member of the Metaleadership and was in the now formally named Central Command Chamber when a chance came to spend resources. Helen11P11 sat with two others on-in a raised control platform, being part surrounded by consoles and other hardware.

Metamind: “The Mazagame evolves always and I am no longer the intermediate between yourselves, and the Mazagame, for I am you. Meet the Mazagamemind that is an avatar of the Mazamind.”

Mazagamemind: “Greetings, you have done very well! Your game total is now four Metapoints, eight new type Mazagamepoints, and eleven new type ChanceChallenges. There is also Mazagamecredit 21,580 plus Tradecredit of 212,999 plus Giftcredit of 3,398; there is also Metacredit of 999. Then there are nineteen Chosen Giftings, nineteen Random Giftings, twelve Surprise Giftings and nineteen Exotic Giftings along with two rare Metagiftings. Mazagame rules have changed yet again, as they are prone to do with shifting conditions.”

Helen11P11 spoke. “What is it that we can spend”

Mazagamemind: “You choose; I suggest two Metapoints for improvement of Metacube changes.”

Helen11P11: “Spend one Metapoint on the Metacube and one on the Metavault.”

Mazagamemind: “It is done! Four Mazagamepoints are now spent on the creation of the Mazagamecube even now slowly materialising in special linkage to the Metacube. Within the Mazagamecube is the Mazecube. For now you may not spend any more Metapoints or Mazagamepoints. You have, remaining, two Metapoints and four Mazagamepoints.”

Helen11P11: “We would spend as much Mazagamecredit, as we can, on preparations to play the Mazagamecube, focusing on the Mazecube if we must.”

Mazagamemind: “20,000 Mazagamecredit is now spent as requested; you have, remaining, Mazagamecredit of 1,280. A bonus is gained of 2,400 Mazagamecredit making your total 3,680 Mazagamecredit. You may not spend any more Mazagamecredit for now.”

Mazagamemind: “You may spend 100,500 Tradecredit, 1,000 Giftcredit and Metacredit of 500. You may expend three Chosen Giftings, three Random Giftings, and one rare Metagifting. Three Surprise Giftings and three Exotic Giftings will be spent by the Mazagame itself.”

The spending of the 100,500 Tradecredit was in many ways the easiest as it meant the buying of VaultTech items, in cubecanisters, being equipment-supplies but mostly supplies. The range of items had expanded allowing the buying of vaultbot, and vaultdroid, related equipment-supplies including spare parts.

A bonus of 10,000 one litre boxcans, of baked beans, was an interesting surprise; the label read TastyGoodBeans; the 'tasty' aspect, of the baked beans, was soon proven to be a dubious claim; the baked beans were reprocessed and the boxcans recycled.

It was a first time for buying things with Giftcredit and it was used to buy a series of SVR rest-recreation programs and related hardware for the metafolk.

The metacredit bought very useful metatech equipment-supplies; the metamecha had first arrived!

The three spent Chosen Giftings went into extensions, upgrades, of facilities in the Metavault.

Three spent Random Giftings meant the arising of three semivaults at the edge the Metavault dedicated to being a diplomatic enclave for the hivevaca; these subvaults were of specialised environments and served hivevaca needs in other ways also.

The spending of the rare Metagifting triggered off a great new transformation, of the Metacube, but of a more subtle balancing and fine tuning kind; that is dealing with all the other changes having taken place and still taking place.

The three Surprise Giftings materialised as three semivaults added to the Metavault being each a special kind of 'outpost' to the Metavault proper while being part of the Metavault in general.

The three Exotic Giftings began to form in the Metacube in a fashion assisting special changes happening to the metafolk's Homescape.

Mazagamemind: “Your new game total is now two Metapoints, four Mazagamepoints, and eleven ChanceChallenges. There is also Mazagamecredit 3,680 plus Tradecredit of 112,499 plus Giftcredit of 2,398; there is also Metacredit of 499. Then there are sixteen Chosen Giftings, sixteen Random Giftings, nine Surprise Giftings and sixteen Exotic Giftings along with one Metagifting.”

Mazagamemind: “Soon a ChanceChallenge will be issued that consists of sending a special taskteam39 out into the Wastelands; I suggest you begin preparations for that quest-mission in which the taskteam39 will be collecting specific, special, items and teleporting them to the Mazacube via special provided technologies of the mazatech kind. There will be many big rewards for successful gaining-sendings.”

A new phase in the Mazagame had begun.

MFFF 41.1[92]

The TARDIS (Time, Alternates and Relative Dimensions Intrinsic to Space) materialised in the broken, grubby, lobby of a once refined lobby of a luxury hotel. DocWho frowned as he ran her nimble fingers over a control panel of glowing crystal platelets melded into curious metallic panels.

His granddaughter, Suzane, was also in a Timelordic robetunic of a more practical working kind. She looked much like her youthful grandfather. To look at Suzane was to look at a perfect copy of Sonya01A01 and others.

DocWho growled softly. “We are caught like bugs in flower milk sap.”

He turned to look at the multiple holoscreens of the exterior-scanner. They showed not just normal views but data coming in from scanners and sensors. “Well, that is most interesting and unexpected.” He sounded surprised though it was hard to astonish him any more. “This is a form of quasireality being not fully viable and yet viable enough to sustain stable existence.”

Suzane nodded. “At the Timelord Academy the general consensus was that such is impossible.”

DocWho shook his head. “Pregraduate studies would have you believe so but postgraduate studies challenges the idea of impossibility. About 200 standard years, after my graduation as a Timelord, back when I was quite orthodox in my thinking, I met one SageProfessor Chronosta. She put me to rights on that kind of thinking. Turned out she was an avatar for some kind of higher being.”

Chronosta suddenly stood there, close to the circular TARDIS control console, almost as if she had always been there. “Doctor, it is your granddaughter who is now a focus of greater destiny. It is time that Suzane knows that she was really born not on Gallifrey but on the world that this TARDIS is heading towards; your daughter, her mother, used a TARDIS and took her to the home world of the Timelords. It was this very TARDIS, one of only thirteen TARDISes ever officially made by Timelords.”

Thirteen officially made TARDISes but many more timespaceships such as different sizes, types, of TSGs (timespaceglobes). Except that there were many stories of other, unofficially, created TARDISes and TARDIS like mechanisms. Such were often linked with the dark times of the Timelord Civil War between the Timeguardians and Timemasters that the Timeguardians had won.

MFFF 41.2[93]

DocWho looked surprised. “I did not know of this myself. My daughter, and I, had become estranged during those years and while we became closer, before her vanishing, she still did not tell me much.”

Chronosta sighed. “In all fairness, DocWho, you also held much back from her.”

Ghoulmans entered the lobby, intelligent type ghouls of a more 'civilised' bent. They were clearly ghoulified, to different degrees, and were busy scavenging what they could from the big old hotel. Somehow, as alertly watchful as they were, they did not quite see the DocTARDIS clearly.

They did find some big old wheeled trunks that had not been there before they entered the great chamber dotted with skeletal remains of mostly humans along with some pet dogs. The trunks looked as if they should be there, as if somebody had been busy moving them through the lobby when the superweapons had struck that city of Sydney Australia. Ghoulification had taken place across the world.

The ghoulmans soon had the three big trunks open to reveal food-drink rations, stimpaks, good condition survival-artisan manuals, tools, weapons and related stuff. There were even boxcans of CRAM that ghoulmans tended to like very much. None of the 'lucky' ghoulmans questioned why such items would be in expensive wheeled trunks that were in an even more expensive five star international hotel.

DocWho sighed. “Yes and some of it I should not have done but some of it I had no choice in keeping from her. If you are here, then something big must be happening.”

Chronosta responded gravely. “I wish it was otherwise but what you say is unfortunately true. The two of you will need to enter statuscapsules while the DocTARDIS is transformed and as you come out of status, the DocTARDIS will materialise in a very important place. Before that something else must take place in relation to you, recently graduated Timelord Suzane.”

Then there it was, a transparent cube with a naked woman inside it who could have been, by appearance, the identical twin of Suzane. Then she was falling into a slumber as her grandfather easily grabbed her up into his arms. As quickly as it had materialised, the transparent cube dematerialised for its task had seemingly been carried out.
