Dukkah
Beast race children is one thing. Heck, you might even be able to excuse the absence of Mer children. But why are there only two children models in the entire game?! Oh, hello only-three-children-in-Solitude! Might you be related to the only-two-children in Whiterun? :ermm: Edited January 15, 2012 by Dukkah
Raddra
On a semi related note, I find it utterly silly that all the children are super clean and all the adults are filthy dirty. Kinda the opposite of RL.
scot
Hopefully somebody will make a mod that adds the beast and elf children to add realism to the game. Also is it me or do the children look the same?
Rabbit1251
Well, considering that the beast races cannot get married it only stands to reason that there are no children. Right? Rabbit
Astaril
Well, considering that the beast races cannot get married it only stands to reason that there are no children. Right? RabbitI think they can get married? I did a quest for an Argonian who wanted to get married and needed a special ring. @ OP I would sooo love to see little Khajiit and Argonians running around :) I didn't even consider why they were not in the game until you said, but I really think they should be now!!! XLR01
There also no hybrid persons ever - half this half that, neither children nor grown-ups. Might argue that Khajiit, Argonians and Humans are too DNA-incompatible, but why never a half Breton/half Nord? There are half human hybrids. Even half elf hybrids or elf/human hybrids. But the Beast races Biology is much too different for humans or elves to have children with. I mean Argonians lay eggs for crying out loud. And as I said human hybrids do exist I beleive in Dawnstar there is Nord and a Redguard who are married and the reguard woman is pregnant if I recall correctly ( the nord being the blacksmith)

AnkhAscendant
Thread necromancy much? :P But there are other examples of hybrid. Maramal (Redguard) is married to one of the priestesses of Mara, a Dunmer, and they mention in dialogue that she's "with child". So anyway I was thinking that it's not necessarily that they fully take on the race of the mother, like a little clone. The child could take strongly after the mother, but in the case of the Bretons when you had men and mer consistently and repeatedly interbreeding they eventually even out into something not quite either. So if you want a true halfbreed Altmer/Redguard, just stick two populations of them together on an island for an Age or so and you can have the results. :P And there is a mod that adds beast race children, at least on Steam. Something about "cubs and kittens"? It adds young animals, too; I didn't really care for it that much when I tried it.
sadriast
A half breed is possible as in Oblivion you find out that 'The Grey Prince' (Agronak gro-Malog) from the Imperial City Arena is half Orc, half Imperial vampire...yet he MERELY looks like a very light Orc with absolutely no Imperial characteristics....So maybe there are cross breeds but the dominant Beast race generally wins over??? Enatiomorph
Just make them with console commands. Yet another good RP use for the console. A half breed is possible as in Oblivion you find out that 'The Grey Prince' (Agronak gro-Malog) from the Imperial City Arena is half Orc, half Imperial vampire...yet he MERELY looks like a very light Orc with absolutely no Imperial characteristics....So maybe there are cross breeds but the dominant Beast race generally wins over???It is because the females have the dominant genes in the ES.
