need help with load order

See the topic description for what happens. Here is my load odrer (I had to grab it with fallout mod manager because nexus mod manager doesn't have this function apparently) if load order isn't the issue could someone tell me what the issue is? I figured out how to make a merged patch and I used master update.

The main problem, as recounted numerous time in these and other forums, is that FOOK 2 is a very unstable mod. It does not play well with others and usually not at all with FWE. Choose one or the other (I tried FOOK and than went with FWE) than do your merged patch. You will also have to delete any other mods that would rely on the overhaul you delete.

Agreed on the FOOK2/FWE bit. The two are completely incompatible with one another; you can have one or the other, but not both. As for pipboy lights, I don't think you're supposed to have more than one loaded. Mart's Mutant Mod - Tougher Traders.esp, Mart's Mutant Mod - Natural Selection.esp, and Mart's Mutant Mod - Master Menu Module.esp are unnecessary if you have Mart's Mutant Mod - FWE Master Release.esp loaded. But if you choose to use FOOK2 instead of FWE, you'll need those and to disable the FWE patches.

What are your system specs? It could be possible that your system can't run the game properly. Also, disable all your mods and try to start the game. If it runs, exit out and than enable your mods one at a time and see if the game runs. At some point you will come to a mod that crashes the game. This is time intensive, but you have nothing to lose since you can't run the game anyway.

Please re-read Rua's post on these plugins:

 

Mart's Mutant Mod - Tougher Traders.esp, Mart's Mutant Mod - Natural Selection.esp, and Mart's Mutant Mod - Master Menu Module.esp are unnecessary if you have Mart's Mutant Mod - FWE Master Release.esp loaded. But if you choose to use FOOK2 instead of FWE, you'll need those and to disable the FWE patches.

By the way: What happens when you start Fo3Edit and let it load all your mods? Does it loads them all without giving any errors? If it does, 1 of your plugins is missing a master (.esm) file upon which it relies. It's the most common reason why Fo3 won't start.

Missing master usually results in a CTD when starting the game. No main menu is probably an orphan record or a bad list. Example of an orphan record would be a compatibility patch that references a formid that is no longer in the master or has been retasked to a different formtype in the master. Example of a bad list is one that references an orphan record or a formlist with duplicates. My advice is to undo your masterupdate and delete your merged patch. Double-check your mod versions and compatibility patches. After doing that, load your mods one at a time until your main menu does not appear. Or start FO3Edit with your load order and do a check for errors on each. Sometimes this will show a orphaned record. Then start stepping through your lists using MK1 eyeball. Edited by blove
