CTD when clicking the workbench?

As the title says, my Fallout 4 crashes when i try to access the workbench, i dont have a lot of mods or anything but here's my order:

 

01. Fallout4.esm

02. Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch.esp

03. Homemaker.esm

04. DX_black_widow.esp

05. Companion infinite ammo.esp

06. dD-enhanced blood basic.esp

07. M1Garand.esp

08. Wastelanders XM2076 by giggity12345.esp

09. CraftableAmmo.esp

0A. CraftableAmmo_plus.esp

 

Anything seem out of order? im new with the whole modding to fallout 4.. would appreciate any kind of feedback.

Check if any of the mods you use are dependent of/require other mods to be installed. There's a possibility a mod uses assets from another mod that you haven't installed and as such, the game cannot render the needed assets and crashes when accessing an armour or weapons workbench...

hey!! thanks for the fast reply, unfortunately there's nothing like that :( im pretty sure NMM would make it highlighted as red if it wasnt compatible :/

Nope. Mods that use assets from other mods won't show red in NMM, unless those mods have been set to be dependent on other mods that you don't have.

 

There's mods that add a whole kaboodle of weapons under one plug-in, but, unless you have the original weapon mods, the textures and/or meshes won't be added to your game, causing a crash only when accessing a weapons workbench and hovering over one of the weapons of which the meshes are missing.

 

i dug a bit deeper and i failed to activate some mod activator, some kinda edit in the .ini files, now that i did that my game wont load.. i start the game, click continue then i just get a long black loading screen then crash again

Only thing that needs to be done in order to make mods work is add the lines

 

bInvalidateOlderFiles=1

sResourceDataDirsFinal=

 

at the end of the entries under [Archive] in the Fallout4.ini file located in Documents/My Games/Fallout4.

 

As a fail-safe, you could also add those lines to the Fallout4Custom.ini (the latter takes precedence over the former):

 

[Archive]

bInvalidateOlderFiles=1

sResourceDataDirsFinal=

 

The Fallout4.ini must be set to Read Only; the Fallout4Custom.ini must not be set to Read Only.

I'm pretty sure that Homemaker requires SKE. It modifies vanilla menus because of the increased buildable items. Try disabling homemaker and then restarting.

SKE has a patch for Homemaker, yes, but Homemaker doesn't require SK or SKE.

 

In the early stages of the game, there was a cap of 256 keywords, but that has been raised to 65536 since v1.5 of the game and the release of the beta CK (switched from 8 bits to 16 bits on the menus).

did as u guys said thank you so much for the reply, i ended up installing fallout 4 script extender and then my game could start up and i could load a game without anything missing, thank you guys for the help much appreciated!
