Numbnumb
I may be mixing things up here but here goes. When you first get into Fallout 4 one thing you must do is develop a character, face actually. The player has about 18 options for both male and female each.I assume that this is the Character Creation Menu. So when I find a mod for a new face I like I will add it through NMM expecting it to show up in the Character Creation menu especially when the mod is designated for Character Creation in the game.My problem is that none of these new faces ever show up, neither in the game or in the Character Creation menu. I looked through all the files I can see in the code to find out where these face mods are being saved and have yet to find them. Nor do any of them show up in the game. These are very good mods done by very talented people for the benefit of all players and I much appreciate how much work must go into each creation.Which is why I am bummed because I cannot use these great creations.I suspect the problem is 'operator error', in other words I am the operation and it is my error. I will be darned if I can find where in the 'H E double toothpick' I can locate where they are or where to put them.I would appreciate any help anyone could give me. My Fallout 4 is through Steam so there are different files on my computer from what I would have if the game was installed otherwise.Thank you to all for being a great community! I love it here. damanding
I've never used presets so I used google. I've also never used this mod, but apparently this is how you use presets. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/12631/?

I hope you're joking. That's just the presets that your presented with. There is a lot you can do after that before starting the game. Definitely install looks menu though, it adds a lot more options.

I love it here. When having added the Looks Menu mod to which Damanding presented a link, you will have installed presets sitting in the creation menu at the start of the game (look at the bottom of the interface for the "presets" tab). You also should know that most presets created by third parties have been made with a lot of mods installed for better eyes, make-up and whatnot; mods you'll also need to install to get as close as possible to the downloaded preset. Most of the time, the result of a loaded preset created by someone else ends in a disappointment as the result is always far from what can be seen in the uploaded mod.
