strawbqwerty
I use mod organizer. It was working OK. But I like to keep thing up to date. So I saw that there was a later version on nexus now. Down loaded it and began the install. Up come the message do you want to keep your mods, down loads and profiles folders, well duh. So I clicked yes and then it instantly began deleting my down load folder. Now this has a lot of mods, about forty gigs worth and I have never seen that much deleted in so short a time. Did not think it possible. Luckily I had task manager up and running so I was able to terminate the program before it moved on to the next folder. Now I know windows can`t delete stuff that quick. Only took about thirty seconds. Thankfully I have a back up copy on another drive, so only would have lost a few zipped mods. The sting in the tail is the so called later mod organizer is worse than the one I had. Can`t get Loot to sync with mod organizer now even with the earlier one. LeddBate
If you haven't already, you might want to consider reporting that issue here.
strawbqwerty
Thanks for the idea. That link is for Nexus mod manager. But I checked the Nexus download for Mod organizer and it had a link for reporting issues. So I have posted my tale of woe there. On a positive note I now have a program that can delete vast amounts of data at a incredible rate.
LeddBate
Are you sure it's actually deleting the data? Might it just be erasing the links (records) to the data?
strawbqwerty
Oh yeah it`s all gone. Cleaned out,bye bye and gone. As I posted though I have at least a back up of most of the mods.
