enjelsama
Having trouble finding answer. I havn't touch blender and half that since OB. (never was good at it..) Anyway, Are meshes and textures from OB, usable if places in right folders? (I understand that armors need to be merge into one set) I have a custom body texture from OB which was never released on Nexus (Japanese mod) Would OB dds files replaces the current skyrim ones and work? (share same file names) But maybe size is off. (I know OB files need changes to work in FO3) (I'm actually playing ps3 Skyrim, waiting for PC Creation Kit to be release before i install/play PC version.)(Just got Radeon HD6570) Also wandering if the original DB armor would port over (since its a 1 piece) (Minus gloves) =3 Thx to anyone who can answer! Search engine driving me bonkers!

Anyway, Are meshes and textures from OB, usable if places in right folders? not directly, not only are the nif versions different, the bind pose and skeleton they are rigged to varies a great deal. Would OB dds files replaces the current skyrim ones and work? dds are the same.
micalov
Anyway, Are meshes and textures from OB, usable if places in right folders? (I understand that armors need to be merge into one set) Textures are still DDS so no problem with any textures. Meshes: No the new nif format is different to oblivion/fo3 so any mesh would have to be converted. I have a custom body texture from OB which was never released on Nexus (Japanese mod) Would OB dds files replaces the current skyrim ones and work? (share same file names) But maybe size is off. (I know OB files need changes to work in FO3) No, each mesh has a UV map which tells it what part of the mesh lines up with what part of the texture, Textures are just square/rectangle files. Think of it like a sliding picture puzzle, unless you sort it out (redo the UV map) it will be all messed up texture wise. Also wandering if the original DB armor would port over (since its a 1 piece) (Minus gloves) You could port it for personal use, but you would have to rerig it to the new skeleton, and set up all the properties etc, but you can not distribute it legally once converted, since that would be copyright infringement. edit: mehh ninja'ed by ghogiel, aka The walking encyclopedia of knowledge :D
